Fortnite Chapter 2 - Pro Tips You May Not Know About

Want to learn how to master Fortnite Battle Royale? Here are a few tips to help you do so.

The landscape of eSports and professional gaming has grown tenfold in recent years. This means that there a lot of newly discovered ways to play certain games well. This is true for Fortnite, which has not only one of the biggest fanbases in gaming, but also one of the largest competitive scenes. This leads to players showcasing skills than many can use to transition into their own games at home, such as making the most of your Fortnite items, utilizing certain features and more. Therefore, here is a few tips that the pros use that you may not be aware of.

RPG/Shotgun

This is the first tip that I would strongly advise you use first, if you are not already. The combination of firing a rocket from an RPG, and following up with a shotgun blast can be very effective when it comes to taking down another player's build.

It may seem like a pretty straight forward technique at first, but it will take some practice. It is most effective on builds made out of wood as opposed to metal. What you'll want to do is fire a rocket at a wall, then immediately follow-up with a shot from your shotgun. Not only will this obliterate the wall your opponent is hiding behind, but the follow up shot also gives you a chance to hit them before they are able to rebuild the wall that is protecting them.

Taking Out Floors

You may already be aware of the technique which helps you take out floors through a ramp if you've seen other pro guides. However, there is a technique using a cone roof which can be even more effective when you play Fortnite. This method is to blindside your enemy into thinking you won't be taking the top piece, and can prove very effective.

This can be tricky to pull off but once you've practiced it a few times, you'll soon be a pro at the method. If you find an enemy building with a cone roof, simply remove it and replace it with your own. Then you'll want to take your pickaxe and hack at one of the corners of the floor piece. Go back up and replace the cone, tricking your opponent into thinking you can't hit them. You will be able to shoot through, and bamboozle your enemy once more.

Ramp Tunnels

If you've had an eye on the pro scene for Battle Royale, then tunnels will be a very common feature. Not just tunnels however, but efficient ramp tunnels which can be an absolute game changer. Not only are they a great protective measure, but this technique can save you a lot of materials in doing so.

To pull this off, you will need to build stairs and a floor piece as you normally would. When building your next floor piece, you will want to build a ramp when you reach the halfway point of your floor. You will then alternate between left and right, constantly building floors and ramps in a smooth motion. This will give you a lot of cover from enemies, though you may want to go back to build walls on the other side just to be sure. Either way, you are well covered from attacks from above and to the side.

Khanada Classic Wall

This is an interesting technique, made popular by rising Fortnite star Khanada. This is a method that will provide you with a rather unique method of cover, which takes away your opponents ability to pickaxe certain points, and ultimately make you more difficult to hit.

This method is done by building a wall then deleted all the tiles, except for the bottom two squares on the left (bottom corner and middle left.) This will leave a small wall for you to duck under to use as cover from fire. It also makes you rather difficult to hit, and you have the option of quickly rebuilding a full wall to repeat the process straight after.

These four tips will have you well on your way to improving your game. It will help you make the most of your Fortnite items, building materials and protect yourself from certain death.
