Now that the hype for the new Incredibles film is in full swing, it's time to start rolling out the licensing opportunities, like towels, clothes, toys and, of course, video games. Leaning on their old standby, LEGO game developer TT Games, this first major video game tie in will be the tip of the spear, and will simply be called LEGO The Incredibles.
The game will feature levels and settings from both the original film and the upcoming sequel, and will offer a few different fan favorites as playable characters, namely, the Incredibles (duh). You can unleash a beatdown as Elastigirl, Mr. Incredible, Violet and Dash, and Frozone will also be playable, with all characters able to be mixed and matched in 2 player co-op. According to the release, players will “explore action-packed story levels and an epic hub world, including Municiberg and Nomanisan Island, as they use their unique super abilities to bring the city’s villains to justice."
“Fans of all ages will enjoy this new Incredibles gaming experience,” said Lisa Anderson, VP at Games at Disney. “LEGO The Incredibles introduces thrilling new adventures led by the incomparable Incredibles family, and puts their powers, and their family, to the test in a LEGO world full of fun and surprises.”
The game will be available physically and digitally on June 15, the same day the film hits theaters, for Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC this year.
