Well, I suppose in a world where bags of oranges get Star Wars tie-ins, a Denny's commercial is pretty far from a complete corporate sell out. What? You didn't know about the oranges? The most ludicrous, off-base tie-in I've ever seen? Check it out.
Told you.
Now, the newest tie-in pairs a beloved galaxy far, far away with everyone's favorite place to get a terrible steak when they're hammered drunk at 3 AM; Denny's.
Here's the official plug:
"Assemble the crew and fly to your local Denny's to collect all 12 exclusive Solo: A Star Wars Story trading cards! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to No Kid Hungry, an organization on a mission to end childhood hunger."
The new marketing cross-over campaign between Denny's and Disney lets kids get Star Wars themed meals and Solo: A Star Wars Story trading cards, with proceeds from the sale of all Star Wars trading card packs benefiting the No Kid Hungry charity, an organization on a mission to end childhood hunger.
The commercial, titled Hand of Sabacc, shows Chewbacca grabbing a big glass of that blue tit milk we all saw Luke slurping down, while a young Lando and Han playing a game in what looks like Mos Eisley cantina as they trade cards back and forth, bickering over a Chewbacca trade. Check out the commercial below, and head to Denny's if you are hammered at 3 AM, but only if you have a sober driver.
