This appears to be a rip-off of the Continental assassin hotel from John Wick, but the new trailer for Hotel Artemis is intriguing nonetheless.
Featuring an extremely frumpy looking Jodi Foster and a slick looking Jeff Goldbloom, the "hotel" in question is actually a hospital for criminals with a set of rules that, again, bears a striking similarity to the Continental Hotel from John Wick: no guns, no killing, no hurting the staff, etc. Of course, when a job goes wrong, and a thief ends up with a pen that is actually a miniature vault full of diamonds, rules go out the window, and a lot of people are probably going to get shot.
Also, Charlie Day is in there for some reason, but we'll have to wait and see if he has finally learned to play anything besides "Charlie" from It's Always Sunny.
Check out the trailer and official synopsis below.
In Hotel Artemis, set in riot-torn, near-future Los Angeles, Jodie Foster plays The Nurse, who runs a secret, members-only emergency room for criminals. Surrounded by an all-star cast that includes Sterling K. Brown, Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, Bryan Tyree Henry, Jenny Slate, Zachary Quinto, Charlie Day, and Dave Bautista, Hotel Artemis is a stylish, high-octane action-thriller written and directed by Drew Pearce (writer of Iron Man 3, Sherlock Holmes 3).
