Daoist magic takes over farming in this Early Access simulation and RPG inspired by Chinese Daoist fantasy
2P Games and YiFang Studios just released a new teaser of their acclaimed farming simulation and roleplaying game Immortal Life, a title inspired by Chinese fantasy now available on Steam Early Access at $16.99 / £13.49 / €13,99. Through this visual summary, the creators of this Daoist-inspired adventure celebrate the game's success, and the progress made this Summer towards completing their original roadmap.
Thanks to its active user community and the developers' commitment to creating an unforgettable game, Immortal Life has received several monthly updates to fix bugs, polish its key features, and incorporate new content that has greatly enriched the game experience.
Among the new stuff added to the game over the past few months, players will enjoy new main quests and complementary missions, including personal stories for some of the most beloved characters you can befriend in the game. Also, the combat and spellcasting system is being revamped, with a complementary rework of the enemies' AI. But there's more to do and see in the world of Immortal Life:
- Enjoy more seasonal quests that will allow you to earn money and find materials to rebuild the Guiyun Sect faster.
- Explore other locations out of the Misty Valley and live exciting adventures while rebuilding the Guiyun Sect headquarters. Brand new monsters and treasures await you!
- Raise and train a little pet that will become you best friend, helping you complete some special missions in the game. Foxes are now available, and we plan to add more animals in next updates.
- Discover new ways of growing up and harvesting your crops faster, such as the planting spell and the upgraded irrigation wells. They will make your farming days really enjoyable.
- Spend some time in the Sect Kitchen, where you will find new cookware, such as the Deep Frying Wok and the Clay Pot, and more recipes to improve your cooking skills.
- Create amazing dishes with the help of premium Stone Mills, which is powered by a spiritual tortoise, fermentation jars, and air-drying racks.
- Take care of the bees and silkworms to benefit from their honey and silk production, which you can use for cooking and weaving new clothes respectively.
- Customize your garments with the natural dye you can produce from certain flowers growing in the valley. Seeking immortality is not incompatible with being fashionable!
You'll also find lots of seasonal events and quests that may affect your relationship with the characters, and help you gain more money to rebuild the Guiyun Sect headquarters. What kind of life will you have in this earthly paradise?
Immortal Life is a beautiful single-player management game where you take the role of a farmer aiming to deepen into the mysteries of soul cultivation. After witnessing the destruction of the cult you were about to join, you'll flee into the valley to join its small community and work hard to help your new brothers and sisters rebuild the sect. You'll mainly take care of the crops, but also gain money to run the organization by selling your products, construct new buildings, and get more members.
The more you help your new family, the stronger your relationship with them will become – as they open to you, you will get new items, missions, and skills. Strengthening your bounds with the whole community, and finding happiness in it, is as important to your spiritual awakening as successfully managing your village.
The time you spend getting to know your new home will help you find new kinds of raw materials to use or trade with. Some of these will be hidden in the forest, or even underground. Also, who knows... you might find something to help you restore your clan. But be careful: there will be creatures lurking around eager to get their teeth into you!
