01.12.2022: Dutch actress, model and singer Stefanie Joosten has released her incredible debut album 'Singing To The Sky' through 110 Industries, marking the first time in 40 years that three-time Academy Award winning Italian producer-songwriter-composer Giorgio Moroder has put his name on a record by an emerging artist. 'Singing To The Sky' joyfully brings back the iconic style of disco and 80s pop, with Moroder serving as executive producer in addition to writing several of the songs himself, including lead single "Knock Me On My Feet'.
"Stefanie's debut album is a celebration of disco and pop from the 80s. She's an incredible singer with range, and we knew her voice could reinvent the past by bringing it into the future." comments Giorgio Moroder, "When the masters came back we all sat back and couldn't believe what we were hearing. In addition to Moroder, 'Singing to the Sky' also features songs from Pete Bellotte and Tom Whitlock, famous for their work with Donna Summer, Berlin, Blondie, David Bowie, Irene Cara and Janet Jackson. Matt Sorum (Guns 'n Roses) and legendary blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd also feature in several tracks. Additionally, the record is mixed by Dave Way, famous for his work with Michael Jackson, Alice Cooper, Mick Jagger and the Foo Fighters and mastered by Howie Weinberg, who has 21 Grammy awards and is known for his work with Nirvana, Aerosmith, Beastie Boys, Cheap Trick and Run-DMC, amongst others.
'Singing To The Sky' was recorded in Zurich and Los Angeles and produced by Raney Shockne and Sergei Kolobashkin. The album is published by 110 Industries, video game publisher behind the anticipated multi-platform game, 'Wanted: Dead', in which Joosten plays gunsmith Vivienne Niemantsverdriet.
