New Story Trailer showcases Photo Mode and Alternative Costumes
Hertfordshire, 9th February 2023 – Today, KOEI TECMO Europe announced that their remastered classic, PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, is now available for digital pre-orders on all platforms the game is scheduled to release on. Additionally, KOEI TECMO Europe shared new details about the digital pre-order bonus and Digital Deluxe Edition, and introduced the chilling new Story Trailer. The new revival of the Japanese horror adventure will be available digitally 9th March 2023 for Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam®.
In PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, players will follow Ruka Minazuki, Misaki Aso and Madoka Tsukimori in their quest to uncover the truth about what happened a decade ago and recover their lost memories. As players encounter the frightening spirits that inhabit Rogetsu Isle, they are equipped with the Camera Obscura. This special camera can be used to repel ghosts and seal away their power throughout photography. Later in the game, players will also be able to use the Spirit Torch, an exceptional device that uses moonlight stored in a spirit stone to subdue spirits.
In the new Story Trailer, players get a frightening preview of PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse’s storyline, along with a closer look at some of the game’s mechanics, including Photo Mode, where players will be able to capture haunting memories of their adventure. The trailer also showcases a first glimpse of the alternative costumes available to each character, including the original lineup of outfits as well as all-new costumes to experience the investigations in a variety of fashion.
KOEI TECMO Europe announced that digital pre-orders are now available for Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam®. Players who pre-order by 2nd March 2023 will receive the following pre-order bonuses: Ruka Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (white/red), Misaki Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (black/red), Choshiro Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (black/blue), and the Ruka, Misaki and Choshiro Limited Edition Costume “Spirit Stone Flashlight Hat”.
Alongside the standard version of the game, KOEI TECMO Europe also revealed some details about the special PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Digital Deluxe Edition. Available digitally, this luxury edition of the game includes the “Rogetsu Isle Dinner Party Costume Set”, and a digital art book (original soundtrack included).
The “Rogetsu Isle Dinner Party Costume Set” includes three swimsuit costumes, two Chinese dress costumes, two pyjamas costumes, and six accessories exclusive to Ruka, Misaki and/or Choshiro.
Additionally, a PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Digital Deluxe Upgrade Pack including the same content as the Digital Deluxe Edition but without the base game will also be available for purchase.
Finally, anyone who purchases the digital copy of the game by 22nd March 2023 will have the ability to download the early purchase bonus: Ruka Exclusive Costume "Marie Rose Outfit" from the Dead or Alive series. There will even be a special save bonus costume for fans who have already played PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water. Play PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse on the same device that has saved data from PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water to receive the Save Data Bonus, the “Camera Obscura Hat”.
