Stockholm, Sweden (May 7, 2024) — Free League Publishing today announced Path of Glory, the upcoming epic adventure campaign for the critically acclaimed fantasy RPG Dragonbane.
Coming to the legendary Dead Forest in search of treasure, glory, and a solution to the ancient curse laying waste to the forest, the adventurers soon find themselves embroiled in an epic conflict reaching back to the very foundations of the world. The quest will take the adventurers through the depths of the forest, under the mountain, and into a strange new land where the fate of the world will be determined.
Path of Glory was the first major adventure campaign for the original Swedish edition of the Dragonbane RPG (Drakar och Demoner), released in three installments between 1985 and 1986: The Dead Forest, Gates of Power, and Heart of Darkness. This new edition, reimagined and updated by Free League and original author Roger Undhagen, collects the trilogy in a single volume.
This full-color, hardback edition features completely new illustrations by David Brasgalla and new cover art by Johan Egerkrans. The rules are fully updated to the latest edition of Dragonbane, and the book includes a large, double-sided map painted by Francesca Baerald in format 432x558mm.
Path of Glory is now available for pre-order in the Free League webshop, in a Standard Edition and a Collector's Edition with faux leather cover and gold foil printing. The pre-order gives early access to the complete PDF of the book in June, months ahead of the retail release planned for the fall.

Dragonbane on the Alchemy VTT
In other Dragonbane news, the core game is now available on the Alchemy Virtual Tabletop marketplace! The VTT module gives complete access to the game contents and with the Alchemy character sheet, players can easily customize their characters with integrated roll tables and player options without having to reference the game rules. With the Alchemy Enhanced version of the Dragonbane Core Rules, GMs can tell incredible stories with animated environments, motion effects, ambient sound, and original music.

A legend is reborn. Dragonbane is a fantasy tabletop roleplaying game full of magic, mystery, and adventure, a reimagined version of the classic Swedish fantasy RPG Drakar och Demoner. Dragonbane was voted one of the most anticipated RPGs of 2023 at EN World and has recieved high praise in reviews since the recent release in August 2023.
Dragonbane is designed from the ground up to facilitate fast and furious play, with very little prep time and adventures that are a breeze to run. This is a game with room for laughs at the table, while still offering brutal challenges for the adventurers. A playstyle Free League calls "mirth and mayhem roleplaying" – great for long campaigns, but also perfect for a one-shot.
A Dragonbane Quickstart PDF is available for free via the official website and at DriveThruRPG. Players worldwide are invited to design and publish their own supplements for Dragonbane using the game's third-party license.
