SelectaPlay Announces Morkull Ragast’s Rage Physical Collector’s Editon
European retail boxed editions coming for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 alongside the digital release of the 2D action platformer.
Barcelona, Spain - 25th July 2024. Global publisher and distributor SelectaPlay has today confirmed the release of two physical boxed editions of their upcoming 2D action platformer Morkull Ragast’s Rage. Releasing alongside the global digital PC and console launch, SelectaPlay has revealed a physical Standard and Collector’s Edition for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch will be available via European specialist stores.
Developed by Disaster Games, Morkull Ragast’s Rage is an exciting 2D action game that combines platforming and action with a touch of exploration. Take control of Morkull, God of Death and Darkness and Lord of the Ragast, and get ready to experience awesome gameplay mechanics that allow him to break the fourth wall and communicate with the player in some exciting and unexpected ways!
SelectaPlay will be creating, publishing and distributing the physical versions of Morkull Ragast’s Rage for fans to enjoy, and has been working to create a Collector’s Edition worthy of the God of Death and Darkness himself! The limited Collector’s Edition will come with the physical release of the game, a set of four character stickers, a colour artbook with concept art and designs from the game and a CD of the game’s awesome soundtrack (along with a digital download code) all housed in a specially designed collector’s box.
Get ready to play as Morkull, the villain of this story who has some interesting knowledge. . . He knows that he is a character in a video game. He also knows the existence of a player who controls him (that is, you) and he knows of some developers who have created him (that is, us).
Your objective? Help Morkull escape from the Ragast so he can rule and carry out his evil plans around the world. Yep, that’s right. your typical cliché villain....

Art and animation - Morkull Ragast 's Rage is completely hand-drawn and animated frame by frame. Inspired and influenced by traditional animated films and other two-dimensional video games. This traditional animation endows the entire cast of characters with great naturalness and life within.

Break out of the fourth wall - What makes the game special is Morkull himself, his personality and character along with that fourth wall break that allows him to talk to players as if he were right there. We have endowed Morkull with great charisma and personality, constantly generating a lighthearted atmosphere, loaded with constant humour, bad jokes and pop culture references.

Combat system - You'll have your own hands and all the power that comes with being the God of Death and Darkness of course... plus you’ll have a wide selection of combos and abilities that will allow you to fight your way through the deepest corners of the Ragast.
Morkull Ragast’s Rage will be published globally via digital stores for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 later in 2024. The physical Standard and Collector’s Editions will be available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 via European specialist retailers. Both the physical version and the digital version of Morkull Ragast’s Rage can now be pre-ordered.
