The Spell Brigade, The Wizard-themed Co-op Survivorslike, Adds New Content For The Spring Sale!
March 13, 2025 – Bolt Blaster Games is thrilled to unveil exciting new content for The Spell Brigade and celebrate their participation in the Steam Spring Sale! Update 8 has just arrived, and they're also bringing fresh additions to their Supporter Pack. And starting today, you can enjoy their biggest discount yet!
Update 8 brings awesome new features and content to the game:
- ???? New Wizard: Maggie: The Spell Brigade welcomes the eleventh wizard to their ranks. Maggie uses her bird-like features to spot pickups from far away and wields a unique spell called "Aurora Wings," which casts mystic birds across the battlefield that pick off targets one by one.
- ????️ Wizard Traits & Ranks: Following community feedback, Bolt Blaster Games has reworked and rebalanced each wizard's stats and effects. Every mage now has unique attributes that define their specific role within a team. Examples include Reginald's luck-based abilities, Aldric's occasional healing powers, and Kavin's... distinctive Kavin-ness. Each wizard now also has their own rank, which players can level up to show off their shiny badges to their teammates.
- ☝️ Single Spell Mode: A new covenant called "Solitary Focus" challenges players to rely solely on their Starter Spell. As players progress, this single spell evolves to extraordinary power levels, offering a fresh strategic approach to their runs.

About Bolt Blaster Games
Bolt Blaster Games is a six-person indie game studio from Belgium, founded in 2020. In 2023 they released their first game, a cartoony roguelite shooter in VR called GAZZLERS. It's a crazy little game in which you fight off hordes of - you guessed it - Gazzlers, with a gun you build yourself from combined parts and upgrades you get after each wave, all in a colorful, cartoon aesthetic.
Working on GAZZLERS post-launch really showed the Bolt Blaster team the value of community feedback and engagement, which is something they want to improve on while working on their second title. Still a young studio with the ambition to make great, fun games, they are eager to grow as game developers, one game at a time.
