Hopetown Steam Page Launches As Kickstarter Enters Final Week

Longdue have today launched the Steam page for its debut title, a 'psychogeographic' RPG called Hopetown, with its Kickstarter now in the final week. The Kickstarter is currently over 370% funded, with stretch goals securing The Witcher 3 composer Paweł Blaszczak on the game and a short story set in the world of Hopetown from Longdue's Martin Luigi, who also wrote the first piece of fiction in the Disco Elysium universe as well as several characters in the game itself.

Hopetown is a narrative-first RPGs being built by a team of veterans and up and coming talent. The team includes such as Martin Luiga, founding member of the ZA/UM Cultural Movement and writer of several Disco Elysium characters, Disco Elysium narrator Lenval Brown, Piotr Sobolewski, who oversaw all technical development on Disco Elysium as CEO of the Knights of Unity, Ben Babbitt - one of the trio of game developers that created Kentucky Route Zero, and Astri Lohne, whose stunning art you can check out in the Hopetown art update video below.

Find more details on Hopetown, including new screenshots, on the Hopetown Steam page and on the Hopetown Kickstarter page, where the campaign will be running until April 15th.
