Story:
You are a member of a resistance group , which resists the Nazi reign until the end of World War II. Can you change history and find enough followers? Or are you or one of your members caught by the Gestapo?Gameplay:
"Through the Darkest of Times" is a strategy game in which we lead a resistance group as leaders. First of all, we need to recruit members to raise resources to carry out actions and to find new followers. At the same time, we must ensure that morale does not go down. Our decisions matter on the game, because if we decide wrongly or risk too much, not only could our fellow members be snatched, but also the supporters could go. If we lose too many followers, our resistance group does not survive the next chapter, if we risk too much, we or our members can be caught by the Gestapo. In both cases, our game ends. The more we risk or ask the wrong questions, the more morale can drop, when it has reached its lowest point, the members will give up and your resistance group will be dissolved, which means the end of the game.Fictional resistance group:
In "Through the Darkest of Times," we play a fictional resistance group that randomly changes after each playthrough. Each character has different personalities, abilities and views. So you won't play as one of the former resistance groups like „Weiße Rose“, „Vierergruppen“ or „Speyerer Kameradschaft“.History:
The story can be changed in the game. It is well told, there are some emotional situations and points where you don't know exactly what to choose to not upset the Gestapo.Sound and Graphics:
The sound is dark, emotional and adapts very well to the mood in the game. Graphically, the drawings could have been better, but it fits the atmosphere of the game well.
