This is a sleeper hit for all Mah-Jong lovers. I am also doing this because
my
mom says I spend too much time with games that involve violence and blood.
Okay I will write something about gambling and see how she reacts.
This FAQ is for private and personal use. It can only be reproduced

language does not automatically make this walkthrough yours. In fact it
only proves that you're a big A-hole and I just hope you rot in hell.
This would be my ninth FAQ. I'm now officially insane from the endless
nights
of hard work I have put into what I've written. People keep on asking me...
Why do I do it? Hell, why not? So what if I get pirated by Indonesean
magazines
or Taiwan PSX market. It's the joy of writing something you would read and
help you on those "What the @$$#!!" moments and gives me all the
satisfaction
I need.
If a male is without all five, forget to ever have a daughter-in-law but
look
forward for a new son-in-law. A great leader of men posses all five. It is
true, look at Bill Clinton. He excels in number one. Okay lets begin.
I buy a lot of Mah-Jong games. This is by far the best I have seen. In fact
I have played it more than any game I ever own and believe me when I tell
you I have a lot of games. Very-very user friendly. It even has english sub-
titles for the english user.
I will elaborate more in the Mah-Jong part then the game it self. It is what
you would need to complete the game.
Just look for two buttons. YES and NO. Circle and X or the other way around.
Which ever suits you is fine by me. Start + Select + L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 =

Mah-Jong is no longer a Chinese game. It has gone world wide and into their
respective culture. Every dialect there is in the Chinese culture has their
own way of playing. So when it sailed to the open seas, it has mutated into
many different ways of playing. We are here to play the JAPANESE way.
I am going to take you as a first timer to the game. I will not be talking
about points as I can never win in this part. Every dialect in the world who
knows how to play Mah-Jong has their own way of counting points. ( so I will
leave that out ) I will how ever teach you the founding basics of playing
the game. There are only two requirements.
1. You have to know the tiles. ( write to me if you want some visual help )
( I refuse to draw so many Chinese characters with text )
2. You must have played Gin-Rummy at least once in your life.
THE TILES
---------
Mah-Jong consist of four major tiles. ( for this game only )
i) The Millions Tiles
---------------------
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 million
ii) The Bubbles Tiles

iii) The Bamboo Tiles

Each tile is in a set of four. That means there are 144 tiles in a game. Get
it?
Okay here's something that might help.
eg:

Memorize the tiles and know it by heart. In real life, some people can
actually
know the tiles they pick by feeling it (face-down) with their thumbs.
THE HAND
--------
Each Hand consist of thirteen tiles. The fourteenth will be the deciding
tile,
thats the tile you pick up or take from others. Let me put it in a more
visual
manner.
I know that when you get a hand it is one straight line with no breaks but
this is my FAQ and I need for you to see how the game works.
You need to get the tiles in 4 sets and an eye.
A SET
-----
A set can be a CHEE or a PONG or a KONG. Okay don't get excited. I will
elaborate.
i) CHEE ( a Straight Flush in poker term )
------------------------------------------
Running numbers of the same tiles. Only needs three of the tiles to make a
set. You cannot make a set if you try to use different tiles. Only the same
tiles. Special Tiles are not in this category. If you self-pick a tile you
just keep it in your hand and you would not have to CHEE. CHEE is used when
you want a tile that has been thrown by the player before you.
IMPORTANT - You can only CHEE from the player before you. The game will give
you this option. You can never CHEE from the others. Once you
CHEE,
your hand will be broken. ( Go to SCORING for more info )
eg:
1 million - 2 million - 3 million = YES
1 million - 2 bamboo - 3 bubble = NO
ii) PONG ( Three of a kind)
---------------------------
Three of the same tile makes a PONG. You can PONG from any player you want.
A PONG will break open your hand. ( Go to SCORING for more info ) Special
Tiles are the best for this category.
eg:
1 million - 1 million - 1 million = YES
Red Dragon - Red Dragon - Red Dragon = YES
iii) KONG ( Four of a kind )
----------------------------
Once you have a three-of-a-kind in your hand, you are able to KONG from any
where you want. That means the four tiles will be placed outside and you
will
not be able to use it in any of your other hands. A KONG that is made by
self-pick does not break your hand. A KONG that is made from anywhere else
breaks your hand. Making a KONG will give you a point. All four KONG is
a SPECIAL HAND. ( Go to SCORING for more info )

THE EYE
-------
The EYE consist two of the same tiles. It is needed to complete the set
Any tiles will do. It depends on how creative you are.
SCORING

I will try to explain this part to the best of my ability. There are so many
ways of scoring.
i) Purity
---------
The purity of the hand depends on the tiles and the sets. You can make a
hand
of the same tiles or you can make a hand of the same type of set.

Purity of the same type of sets and tiles will give you a MAXIMUM HAND.
In life a MAXIMUM HAND cleans the other opponents out. This only goes for
PONG as you can never have a ALL CHEE of the same tile hand.

---------------
You can use Special Tiles to help you make a semi pure hand. The main tiles
are millions, bubbles and bamboo. Mixing these up does not give you a pure
tile point. You can mix one of them with a tile from the Special Tile to
make
a semi pure hand.

The Dragons
-----------
The three dragon tiles holds a point each. See SPECIAL HANDS for all three
dragons.
The Winds
---------
The winds determine the rounds you have played and who is the dealer. A game
of Mah-Jong always starts with East. The order would be EAST - SOUTH - WEST
- NORTH. The game will determine who starts the game first. Only the dealers
wind and your wind will carry a point each. You can use the winds as a way
of helping your hands with the purity. See Special Hands for all the Winds.
The Solid Hand
--------------
A solid hand is a complete set without any PONG or CHEE. The set must be
in one straight line. KONG from self-pick is acceptable. If you KONG and
get the winning tile after the KONG you will get extra points. A solid
hand does the most damage in the game.
Calling
-------
The Calling option is attainable when you are ready for the killer tile.
That
means you only need one more tile to win and your hand is solid. It is the
best strategy for the last 3 levels of the game.
SPECIAL HANDS
-------------
I would not know the exact points that you will receive from these hands as
in real life, these hands are considered the MAXIMUM HAND. My dream is to
one
day get the Thirteen Wonders in real life. I will die with a smile on my
face.

( This also depends on the purity of the hand. You can use this method of
calling
with any tiles in Mah-Jong. The points however depends on the purity. )

( one of the winds could also be the Eye )
The Three Dragons
-----------------
RED DRAGON SET - WHITE DRAGON SET - GREEN DRAGON SET - EYE of any kind - Set

( There are a few more hands but those are not respected in this game )
Mah-Jong is a game of making the hand. You must count the tiles as it is the
foundation of a great player. Always throw ones and nines as they will
lower your points. Be open to any option that appears. Patience is a virtue
that can go both ways. If you cause the game to end by giving the winning
tile to a player that holds 100% purity, you will have to pay for all the
other players. A self pick win is an extra point. I am going to end
with a few example tactics.
