1-INTRODUCTION
*****************
Welcome to my slightly odd rather stange and hopefully helpfull FAQ. If your
wondering who the person writing this is well just call me Gren it's simple and
I like it. Anyway I decided to write this faq to be at least somewhat helpfull
to the people out there I took my inspriration from many of the other fantastic
DW2 faq's on this great site. So there may be some similarities but hopefully
my unique (and very warped) sense of humor will shine through. This is my first faq
so be gentle in critisism. I intend to focus majorly on digivolving though I do have
A walkthrough I'm going for a Digivolving guide mainly here. Oh yeah unlike some Writers
you can post this any were I don't care distribue it at will ya don't even need to
give me credit for this (though I woudl love it if you did).
Anyway I should probably get on to the actually FAQ.

CHANGES SINCE DW

Here ya go this is what I have observed as changes since the first. First
and foremost you don't have to feed or have your digi poop anymore
is't all about the combat JOY!!! plus they no longer lose life hearts ya
just need to get em resurrected simple eh? Aside from that the incredable
tedious and annoying stat raising has changed now it's based around XP and
your digi critters attain new levels adn eventually you can digivolve.
11 is champ 21 is ultimate 31 is mega course you need to do certain things
to go past lvl 13 but I'll get on to that later. Thats pretty much it from
my perspective if you have something to add just email me and I'll add it in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
CONTROLS

I'm not listing controls becuse you should know what your doing essentially.
This is all pretty much self explanetory so if you cant's figure it out you either have massive head
truama
or your just stupid :).

DUNGEONS
***********
One of the new things in DW2 are the Dungeons (I din't talk about this in the
changes section bescuse I'm mentiong it here) . Before you can proceed with the game
you must to go to the World Map and then to the Dungeons with red lines (once
you defeat the boss in the Dungeons, the red line disappears)
In the Dungeons are located the Enemy Digimon, you fight thes guys to get xp
and level also you can catch these guys too. The Dungeons are divided into floors,
the common floors are in brown, and the last floor (the boss floor) is in
green. And BE CAREFULL YE BUMS, because all the floors have traps!! So you must
be ready upgrade your car often, cuse then you can discover and destroy the traps even
though it may seem expensive you will be glad you did it.

a)TRAPS

In all the Dungeons you can find a lot of traps. Before you can
know where they are you must upgrade your car maybe a few times,
and for it to discover traps press circle, and the trap appears.
The Traps are divided in five types:

Bomb Traps: You can find this traps on the ground or in the treasures.
These traps dont stop to work until you escape from a Dungeon.
This traps can damage your car, disable your items for battle, make the care
go berserk, dont let you destroy Barriers or walls, or dont let you catch any
Digimon.

E.Barriers: This Electric Barriers are hiden in any place, This are divided
in colors, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet, Red and Orange.
Be Carefull!!, because when you find one of these your cars gonna be damaged!
to destroy these electric barriers you need to buy an item for the car, wich
cost 3000 bits, the first guy in the remodel center sells it.
These are the items for destroy the E. Barriers:

Bugs: This traps comes from the roof Top, these traps surprise you like the
E. Barriers, when you find one, some kind of bug falls on you from the sky,
These traps can stop to work any time, after you touch one.
You can know where thes are by buying a part of your car. there are four
knid of bugs:_R Bugs: This bug return some of your Digimons to the base
_H Bugs: This takes your EP by triple
_B Bugs: This takes 100 bits by one step
_Z Bugs: This bug Replace the free spaces for carrying Digimon
These are the items needed to destroy the Bugs, you can buy them in your base,

well try to not pass over them or else the Car will be damaged.
The colors are these, yellow, green, blue, violet and red.
Befor you can pass trough this ground you need to buy new neumatics often, the
neumatics are sold in the remodel room, the first guy sells (usefull ain't he?)it. In the
second map Patamon sells the neumatics. You can know which are the correct neumatics,
seeing that in the description it says 0 S/M/A or something like that.

CATCH DIGIMON
*****************

Yep. In DW2 you can catch many diffrent digimon infact you need too!
At the begining of the game, depending on the Digimon you choose you can
buy items to catch Digimon of the same type as yours and only yours.
If you start with Patamon you can only buy items to catch Datas types
If you start with Agumon you can only buy items to catch Vaccine types
If you start with Demi Devimon you can only buy items to catch Virus types
To catch a Digimon you need to do this:
1-Buy an item to catch a Digimon
2-Equipe that item in the Digibeattle
3-Go to the Dungeon
4-Find the Digimon you want to catch
5-When you can see the Digimon press square
6-Press circle
7-Compare the Type of the Digimon with the description of the item so you
can see if the item is the correct type. (The type of the Digimon is beside the
level, and the description of the item is down on the item list)
8-Choose the correct item
9-And still using that item until the Digimons has a BIG heart in his head
Note: The bigger the heart the better the probabilities for the
Digimon to join you.
10-When the big heart shows, battle with the Digimon, if you win he will
join you!!
To make a big heart you need items. The items are divided in 5 ranges E, D,
C, B and A.
The item "E" has a smaller probabilitie to make a heart than the "A".
When in the description of the item you see any of thes letters, is an item
to catch digimon, and if you see for example "A 3" this means that you can
catch any type of Digimons with this (this kind of item you cant buy, it is only
found with the prgress of the game)
With the progress of the game your gonna discover a new base where you can buy
items for catch all the 3 types.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
**************************************************
8-BUY PARTS AND UPGRADE THE DIGIBEATTLE (THE CAR)
**************************************************
The Digibeattle is the CAR that transport you arround the Dungeons. YOU NEED
TO UPGRADE YOUR CAR OFTEN, because you start with 500HP (Health of the car)
and 100EP (The Gas) these are good for the first Dungeons but later (around the
4th Dungeon) which is gonna be more than 5 floors, so you must to upgrade the
EP. You also want to upgrade your hp though EP is a prority.
To do this you must to go to the Missions Center, then to the left door,
and now go to the guy in the far left on the screen (not the guy walking),
speak with him and choose yes, then choose the second option, here you
can choose, upgrade HP or EP (If you buy more items try to come to this
screen for see if you can upgrade more things)
Now Buy parts and how equip it; Go to the same room where you can upgrade
the car, now speak with the first guy in the screen, choose yes and then
buy different kind of items, to equip them go to the same guy that upgrades
your car, choose yes and then the first option, now a Car Screen will show
up so press circle until you can choose the items, (the black items are the
old ones and the Whites the new ones) the last screen where you can choose
the violet parts, BE CAREFUL, because these kinds of items you can carry
only 3 at a time, and these items are important because, if you unequipe an item (that
item wich looks like a double gun) you cant catch any more Digimon, and
later in the game you will need to buy a violet item (looks like a box in
the upper part of the car)that item allows you to destroy barriers and
walls.

**************
DIGIVOLVING
**************

Ah yes the meat fo the game and this guide I'll explain as best I can.
Like in the TV series and DW1 you Digimon can digivolve into different
kinds of digimon. To digivolve your Digimon go to the base where you
recluite your first Digimon (Agumon, Patamon or Demi Devimon), then go to
the left door, talk with the woman and choose the first option, then choose
the digimon si you have the required lvl you can digivolve your digimon
also this is were fusion happens.
TO digivolve, the Digimon must reach certain lvl's this can be hard but
it's better than the old system
To digivolve from Rookie to Champion the Digimon need to be lvl 11
(aprox 500 xp)
For digivolve from Champion to Ultimate the Digimon need to be lvl 21
(aprox 6000 xp)
TO digivolve from Ultimate to Mega the Digimon need to be lvl 31
(aprox 31000 exp)
TO make your Digimon digivolve you need to fight with other Digimon, if
you win battles your Digimon gets xp which in turn allows them to go up
lvls it's all prettt standerd rpg stuff, your Digimon need the xp to
go up lvls and digivolve.
AS you see, that your Digimon stops gaining experiance (around lvl 13), this means that he
needs to fuse with another Digimon So he will be able to get to higher lvls.
One new and important thing is the JP, All the Digimons have JP. Your
starter Digimon and the Digimon you catch, start with 0 JP. This is the base JP determines
the availible evoulutionary form of your digithe different evolutions.
For example if you have a Demi Devimon with 0 JP he will then didvolve to an ice devimon
nice but not great however if the Demi Devimon has 3 JP or
more he will digivolve into Devimon. Befor can win JP you must to fuse 2
Digimon, For example, you fuse a Greymon (with 0JP) with Airdramon
(with 0JP) the next Digimon, Veemon will have 1 JP.
Here is a fairly complete list there may be mistakes however so don't be afraid to call em on them.
Anyway this will give you at least an idea of requirments. These system is rather complicated at
first however
it is signifigantly better than the older version were you had to raise stas trough long trainin
session.
Now if you want a particular digimon for a mega refer to the fusion list and this list. As this will
tell you the
evolutions and the fusion section will tell you how to get these particular digimon. For instance If
you want to
end up with a wargreymon as your mega you would need an agumon to digivolve to greymon then you
could fuse a
few times and if you end up with agumonand you can get to lvl 21 you go to greymon then metal
greymon then fuse u
ntil you can get 31 then you will be able to get wargreymon. Of course I'm oversimplifying this a
great deal but
anyway I'll be expanding this section with new info on the U.S version comes out.

So as you can see digivolutions lead into on another this happens through fusion which I will
explain.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*********
FUSION
*********
Fusion is an icredably new and improtant part od the game fusion is the only way your digis will
gain lvls.
You must fuse two Digimons make a new and stronger one. Rookies can not I repeat can not be fused.
In the first base you can only fuse:
Champion with Champion.
Later in the game you can fuse any kind of Digimons (not Rookies).
If you fuse:
Champion + Champion: Rookie
Ultimate + Champion: Rookie
Mega + Champion: Rookie
Ultimate + Ultimate: Champion
Mega + Ultimate: Champion
Mega + Mega: Ultimate

Simple right? wrong it get complicatedwhen your Digimon stops gaining exp
is time for fuse him with other, because he CANT go up anymore levels,
So if you fuse two Digimon the new one can reach a higher lvl than the previous one.
I'll use my old example if you fuse a Greymon in who is lvl 13 with a Airdramon
who is level 13 a Veemon will born and with the ability to reach the loftey heights
of level 15 not much I know but it's somthing alright.
Now then is is all based on this one simple basic theory

Digimon X has a lvl equal to or higher than Digimon Y so
X Digimon + Y Digimon /5: A new Digimon who can go up those levels.

For the Veemon example:

Greymon lvl 13 + Airdramon lvl 13/5: A Veemon who can grow to the level 15
13/5: 2.6 ;
13 + 2.6: 15

So as you can see when you combine the digimon you get a new digi who can gain more
experience so it is through this continus process that you get ultimates the wargreymon
and metal garurumon.

So you might be wondetring if theres a downside such as you lose techs well
when you Fuse two Digimon the new one will acquire the techs from the
fused Digimon so you can only gain through fusion not lose refer to the fusion list if
want to fuse to get a particular digi.

For the Veemon example

Greymon with his Techs + Airdramon with his techs:
Veemon with the Greymon and Airdramon techs and his own techs.

Here is a relitivly consise list of fusions I'll try to update as soon as the us release

TOURNYS
**************
You can play Tournaments by going to the middle base of the Digital City, go to
the upper left door and talk with the first woman you see, say yes, and you
go to the Tournaments. To advance some parts of the story you need to pass some
tournaments, the more tournaments you win the more expensive it is to enter (there afraid of ya :P
)
and the digimon will be even higher levels than before plus you need 3 digimon but tournys are fun
and
a nice deversion if you just wanna mess around and have some extra cash on hand.
Requeriments: 3 Digimon
Money (a rather large amount really is neccasary)
The tournaments consist of 3 rounds. If you Win tournaments your ranking
level will go up, and you recive items too (always good).
Here I will put the prices and the item you will in you will notcie to get the better items you
need
to spend more so it's the spend more to get more logic at work..

----------------------------------------

Well thats pretty much is for the arena as you can see there are some pretty strong
digimon you will need to beat. The more balanced teamsa re really the ones to watch out for.
If your opponent is basing his/her team around one particular digimon type just get the best
digimon
against that type and you should have no problems.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*********
TRADE
*********
In the Digital City is the Digimon Trade Center, here the name says it all
you can exchange Digimon for other digimon who are more powerful than your previous one
(nice deal eh?) you might wanna vist this place a couple times during your journey.
To can know wich Digimon you can trade try to see what the woman says, if
you can see yellow words, that means that you see a Digimon for trade, and
now you can trade.
you can only trade captured digimon.

Here are a few I know I intend to expand this section eventually:

-------------------------------
|DIGIMON FOR |WHAT DIGIMON |
| TRADE |YOU RECEIVE |
-------------------------------
| Crabmon | Wizardmon |
-------------------------------
| Toy Agumon | Snow Agumon |
-------------------------------
| Numemon | Megadramon |
-------------------------------
| Garurumon | Magna Angemon |
-------------------------------
| N.Drimogemon| Metal Mamemon |
-------------------------------
| D.Tyrannomon| Myotismon |
-------------------------------

This is what I know at the moment if you want to contribute I will give you full credit.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*********
14-TYPES
*********
In this game the Types are very important.
The types in this game are:_DATA
_VIRUS
_VACCINE

DATA Attacks are strongest aganist VACCINE Digimon, commons against DATAs
and bads against VIRUS.
VACCINE Attacks are strongest aganist VIRUS Digimons, common against
VACCINEs and bads against DATAs.
VIRUS attacks are strongest against DATA Digimon, commons against VIRUS
and bads against VACCINEs.

As can be seen by this having a diverse and balanced group of digimon
can lead to succes in the game .And also you need to buy different kind of Items for the Different
types.
