HOW TO GET 'COOL'
Hi, I just purchased this game about three days before this FAQ was made, and
I have become very good at the game if I can say so myself. (Sorry I'm not
trying to brag) But the toughest part in the whole game is getting cool.
In this FAQ I will give you some good techniques on how to get COOL and keep
COOL.
The reason I am making this FAQ is because I was on the Internet looking
through all the FAQ's on the web and NONE of them had anything on how to
help you get and maintain COOL. So here is were I come in... I'll just
stick to the topic from now on...

Ok, there is no 'real' sure-fire way to always get the COOL rating but I
have some approaches to this game that really seem to work for me and my
friends so if your struggling to get the COOL rating and are desperate to
try anything this is where you should be...
NOTE, DON'T BLAME ME IF THESE TIPS DO NOT WORK FOR YOU, REMEMBER THESE ARE
JUST METHODS THAT WORK FOR ME... THERE IS NO SURE FIRE WAY TO EARN COOL
EXAMPLE BUTTON'S WILL GO IN THIS ORDER = S _ T T _ X _ O _ _ L R
1.At the top of the screen show the buttons you have to use in each verse
and try to pay attention to the buttons that you will be using in each
verse.
NOTE EVERY TIP INVOLVES USING THE PITCH BENDER (L2 AND R2) BACK AND FORTH
RAPIDLY (BUT NOT TO FAST, UNTIL IT REACHES IT'S HIGH AND LOW PEAK)
TIP TO GET COOL #1
One method that I use is to take all the buttons, S T T X O L R, and
just put them in any random order and repeat it while using the L2
and R2 pitch back and forth. For example, take the original order
(SHOWN ABOVE) and just mix them up, like this R L T O X S (If there
is 2 of the same buttons you don't have to mix it with them) and then
keep on repeating this verse as many times as possible while using
the pitch benders A LOT back and forth, it is tough some times but it
cause it's tough to push the right buttons while concentrating on
going back and forth on the pitch bender. TIP, TRY DIFFERENT SPEEDS
LIKE THE TEMPO SPEED OR YOUR OWN BUT DON'T GO TO FAST.
TIP TO GET COOL #2
Another method that I use is fill in the spaces with buttons that are
at the end of each verse while hitting each button several times and
using the pitchbender back and forth. For example, take the original
order (SHOWN ABOUE) and put it together like this
SS RR TTTT RR XX OO RRRR LRLR...
you can decide how many times you want to hit each button (I CHOOSE
2 FOR EACH) but you have to go pretty fast to pull it off.
TIP TO GET COOL #3 (FOLLOWS ALONG W/TIP 1)
If you are not good at putting the buttons you have to press in each
verse together randomly you can do each verse backwards and while do-
ing this you should be using the pitchbender back and forth, you can
press each button more than needed as long as they fit in the verse,
and you can still but in extra buttons where the spaces are.
TIP TO GET COOL #4 (FOLLOWS ALONG W/TIP 1)
Do the same as tip #1 but the repeat doesn't have to be the same. Just
remember to use each of the button's they give you in each verse at
least once.
TIP TO GET COOL #5
If all the other tips fail just do whatever the hell you want while
going wild on the pitchbender.
NOTE FOR ALL TIPS, NEVER USE A BUTTON THAT IS NOT IN THE VERSE YOU ARE
DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

||.Ok, this is the easier part I believe It only requires one tip, but it may
hurt your fingers like a bitch after a while... REALLY IM SERIOUS!!!
TIP TO MAINTAIN COOL #1
When you have reached cool all you have to do is push each button at
least one time between the times that your score goes up and go nuts
on the pitch bender (SWITCH TO THE OTHER PITCH BENDER WHEN ONE REACH-
ES IT'S HIGH OR LOW PEAK) and try and be as original as possible,
i.e. not using the same pattern and same buttons all the time, and
stay at a specific speed. NOTE, THE SPEED MATTERS ON THE STAGE USALLY
AND USALLY THE SPEED SHOULD BE FAIRLY FAST.

Once the game is beaten with Lammy, Parappa becomes a playable character
but how he raps is a little different from the first...
TIP TO GET COOL #1
Basicly the same as Lammy but stuttering instead of the pitchbender
and hitting each button in a verse A LOT while stuttering, that's all.
stuttering is a lot easier to do than the pitchbender all you have to
do is hold up.

V.EXTRA TIPS
ALWAYS USE THE L2 AND R2 PITCHBENDERS BACK AND FORTH AND SWITCH WHEN ONE
REACHES IT'S PEAK -- LAMMY
ALWAYS STUDDER WITH UP ON THE DIRECTIONAL PAD AND HITTING EACH BUTTON IN A
VERSE ALOT WHILE STUTTERING -- PARAPPA
What helps to get cool is to use the items you get from the end
of different stages -- LAMMY
Different method's to get COOL work better than others on different stages --
LAMMY AND PARAPPA
Try to be as original as possible -- LAMMY AND PARAPPA
If you can't get cool on a level with my tips alone just beat it and come back
to it when you get different abilities -- LAMMY
Remember that practice makes perfect -- LAMMY AND PARAPPA
THERE IS NO SURE FIRE WAY TO GET COOL JUST TRY ALL MY TIPS AND IF THEY DON'T

UM JAMMER LAMMY has quickly become one of my favorite games for one reason..
It is fun as hell! I mean alot of my favorite games are because of the
series like Mega Man, Dragon Ball, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, Castle-
vain, etc. But this game you one that you don't have to like the series to
like this one, some may of hated Parappa but this is so much better, do your
self a favor and purchase this game... Or at least rent it IT'S SO FUN!
