Starting here I can't 100% confirm any infos bec. I don't have
my Tobal (a friend borrowed it from me).
This FAQ is close to finish (I think) does anyone know where I
can put this on any Website? I don't have one.
Whats new v1.8 (8/27/96)
1. TORI moves (combination b/w Chubb & Tu Dang)
I haven't comfirm moves for Tori so please inform me any mistakes.
2. Still looking for UDAN's scissor kick (I saw CPU do that to me)
3. Is there a way to savegame in the middle of a QUEST??? I really
need help on UDAN's DUNGEON (I always die somewhere level 17-19).
Whats new v1.7 (8/17/96)
1. 3 new 9-hitter and 1 new 8-hitter for OLIEM.
2. Confirmed ESCAPE & GRAPPLE (G+M) for Suplex, Gaint swing, Powerbomb
and maybe all of them are just the same. (Look at ESCAPE & GRAPPLE)

1. Corrected & Added (kinda) dodging attacks for OLIEM, EPON, ILL & GREN.
Whats new v1.5(8/15/96)
1. GREN can crouch dash (b+L~f),
crouch dash jumping uppercut (b+L~f,M)
& Power punch (b+M~f).
Try his b+L~f,M its cool (similar to Kazuya's f,d,df+RP), again a bit
hard at first but easy to repeat, must be quick though. His b+M~f is
almost similar to Paul's unblockable, high damage but slow.

I. INTRODUCTION
Before anythings else I apologise for any gramatical errors and
several confusion i make since this is my first time to make a list. I
wrote this list on the assumption you already know some the abbreviation found
around VF & Tekken2. Some gameplay control is similar to VF (i.e. Akira's
d+K,f+P w/c enabled the rushing palm instead of pressing d,f+P).
I wrote this faq or movelist to be as simple as possible, always keeping
in mind to make this short but very informative. List of combos are all
at their max extent and please read "Doing combos" its very important.
Side/Armlock/Headlock/Waistlock throws are not listed at the character
movelist since they only have one (1) throw. For better understanding
about Tobal's throw read GRAPPLING SYSTEM
Brief explanation about difference of Tobal No.1
Their controls are new, their throw are unsual and hard to execute
especially against hard CPU and it has a (RPG) quest mode.
II. CONTROLS & LEGENDS
CONTROLS
Moving your joystick down and up would make you move toward and away
from the camera. There are 5 buttons, there is jump button which
enables you to jump (don't bother to, you can only jump about 3 feet).
3 Attack buttons are compose of three level of attack instead of punch
or kick. And lastly the Guard button.
Player can no longer crouch but instead he can only crouch guard
(by pressing d+G) since moving the joystick down would only make you
move toward the camera same also to moving up.
Legend you should know:
u = up
d = down
f = forward
b = back
/ = or
~ = quick
G = Guard
J = Jump
Attack buttons H = high attack
M = mid attack
L = low attack
Crouch Guard CG = hold d+G (req. for some moves)
WS = While Standing
There are no diagonal moves
Combos w/ "*" at the end = means can continue w/ a turning attack.
Combos w/ "(WS)" at the end = means can continue w/ a WS+M.
III. GRAPPLING SYSTEM
This is something new and fun to learn. You can either grapple
high(G+M) or low(d+G+M) and there are 4 type of grappling and you
can follow it whatever you want: (Applies to all chars.) By the way
all characters have only one throw during Armlock, Headlock and
Waistlock so I'm not going to include those on character movelist.
1. Frontal
PULL = b,b
PUSH = f,f
SIDE = u,u / d,d (depends w/c direction you want)
Pull behind = f,b
Headbutt = H
Knee bash = M
Trip = L
Side Toss = SIDE, d/u+G+M
4 to 6 Char. Throw = (see char. movelist)
*PUSH/PULL/SIDE are used for more complex throws
Executing complex throw PUSH/PULL/SIDE first then wait
for the animation to finish before executing b/f+G+M. The
timing is tricky at first, once you got the timing right
it won't be difficult to repeat.
4. Waistlock (Tail hold for ILL)
Kick = H/M/L (ILL can't be kicked only thrown)
1 Char. throw = G+M
IV. GRAPPLE REVERSAL
Grapple reversal is basically pressing G+M ahead of the attacker
whenever you got grappled.
If you got grappled:
position : press G+M to:
Frontal Throw Overhead
Armlock Backbreaker
Headlock Side Suplex
Waistlock Waistlock Grapple
Tail Hold Tail Swing
V. GRAPPLE ESCAPE
You can just escape my pressing H/M/L. Also its important to PULL
and PUSH to help you escape from complex throw. Whenever the attacker
PULLs you have to PULL to pull away, same also to PUSHing.
If you got grappled: press H/M/L to:
Frontal Punch/knee/trip
Armlock Uppercut
Headlock Uppercut
Waistlock Head punch
VI. GRAPPLE GUARDING
To guard against Frontal Grapple attacks: Press
Headbutt G
Knee Bash G
Trip d+G
VIII. ESCAPE & GRAPPLE
To escape and grapple you must press G+M during the escape window
(Look at practice mode KAGE NUKE: OK) The timing is very sensitive
and the escape windows is about .5 sec only.
NOTE: I'm not still sure if pressing G+M to escape all escapable
throws but I'm 100% sure for powerbomb, suplex and gaintswing.
TIPS: Its sometimes hard to press G and M at the same time so to
aviod mistakes, press and hold G in advance then press M
during at the escape windows.
Doing Combos
All char. have multilevel attacks and combos, some combos can be
continued with WS attacks. Good examples would be CHUJI and ILL. Some miss
combo can make your back face the enemy. Only FEI, UDAN, EPON and TORI have
reversal capabilities. Again there are no diagonal moves (I think) thats why
all move evolves around tapping of forward, back, up and down only.
Moves with * at the end means that after executing the combo your
back will be facing the enemy, at that point you have an option onturning
around, evading or continuing with a turning attack by commonly
pressing M.
Moves with (WS) at the end means that after executing the combo your
character is under crouch position which can be followed by a While Standing
attacks. WS+M are more quicker to execute than the CG,f/b+M which requires
a certain delay to execute successfully. (ala VF gameplay)
FOR UDAN ONLY
Moves with (FD) at the end means that after executing the combo your
character is lying face down and feet toward the enemy. At that position you
can execute (FD attacks)
Common moves:
Overhead kick = J~L (can be use as a pounce & use stick for dir.)
Rising kick = J~H/M (use stick for dir.)
Roundhouse = J, H/M/L (use stick for dir.)
Side Hop = u/d+J (use this to aviod or dodge)
RUN = f,F
WHILE STANDING (WS) ATTACKS
CG,b+M Jumping Fist Crush
CG,f+M.. Headbutt, Chicken dance headbutt (Tap M to dance press
G

press M again to dance

DODGING ATTACKS
d,d+M Left Beat Knuckle (dodge toward camera)
u,u+M Right Beat Knuckle (dodge away camera)
Tap M to keep on dodging.

Chicken Dance)(dodge toward camera)
