Revision 1: Major overhaul in this walkthrough, including simplifying item
names, what should be done, why certain questions asked by the defense are
objected and added Donny Morales into Case for the Prosecution.

Revision 2: Another big update, this one putting down more reasons certain
questions are objected and describing what should be dropped after starting up

J. Robbie Hotel--

To get in, use the magnetic keycard you got from the Medical Examiner.

For evidence items, collect the glass on the nightstand and send it to the lab.
Another table will have an invitation from Philip Wright which you should just

Avery Labs (1st time)--

To unlock this place, make a search warrant. Put Donald Kent as the suspect and
these people in the list: Philip Wright, Celia Ramos, Martin Tanner and Linda
Keller.

Now that you're in, there are three places of interest. First, the shredder.
It's a puzzle you have to solve, but here it is for you.

Ramos
Don't ignore us.
For the last time -
GIVE US BACK WHAT'S OURS!
OR ELSE!!!
=========================

After that, send the note to the lab.

You can't open Ramos' drawer now, but come back later.

Take the laptop and send it over to research.

Once the call comes in to check on the laptop, you have another puzzle in the
form of a cryptoquote. And now, the solution.

Confidential
To: WTR
From: DSK

I want to make it clear that all
funding for the human cloning prokects
under your supervision will be
cancelled if financial documentation
is not provided to me ASAP. This will
be my last communication before
discontinuing your funding.

(once you solve it, it goes into evidence.)

Donald Kent (2nd time)--

When asked, show him the Laptop [research].

1. How long has Avery Labs been working on cloning human beings?
2. Did you know Ramos was taking this project to outside investors?
3. How close was the cloning project to completion?
4. Is it possible that Dr. Ramos completed successful cloning tests and you
didn't need him any more?
5. Was Dr. Ramos ready to start human testing with the cloning project?

Cindy Tanner--

You'll run into her when you come for Martin again. When prompted, show her the
anonymous letter (lab).

1. What did Ramos have that you wanted back?
2. Why the forceful tone of the note?
3. How could you expect to get any money back once you'd invested it?
4. Why was there such a rush to get your money back?

Cindy Tanner?
4. Do you know anything about Linda Keller?
5. Was there any documentation on what Keller was doing for Dr. Ramos? (after
this, you'll get the key to his desk drawer)

Avery Labs (2nd time)--

Now you can unlock the desk drawer with the key you got. Inside, get the waiver.

Linda Keller (2nd time)--

When prompted, show her the waiver.

1. What can you tell us about the research project Ramos was working on?
2. Why not tell us about this before?
3. How much were you getting paid?
4. When was the experiment supposed to start?
5. If you hadn't been paid, how are you making ends meet?

Keller's Aparmtent--

To get here, have her put under surveillance. When the results come back, make
a search warrant on her. For that, you need Shirley Cho, the waiver and Linda
Keller (surveillance).

Inisde, you should get the CD and the pamphlet. Send the CD to the lab and the
pamphlet to research. The lab results on the CD will give out her real name
(Brenda Lyons), whom you should put through research after that.

Brenda Lyons--

When prompted, show her Brenda Lyons (research).

1. Why are you in such a hurry to leave town?
2. Did you target Dr. Ramos' cloning project for some kind of sabotage?
3. Would you say the mission was successful?
4. How do you expect us to believe you had nothing to do with Dr. Ramos' murder?

Tanner's House--

To get here, you'll need to make a search warrant. He's the suspect and the
evidence you need is the note (both original and lab), check (lab), work boots
(both normal and lab).

Inside, you only need one thing: the financial report. You'll have to send it
to research, but it won't come back until the next half of the game?

Arrest warrant--

Now you've got enough to make an arrest on...Martin Tanner. For evidence, you
need the anonymous note (normal and lab), check (lab), work boots (normal and
lab), car window (lab) and Cindy photo (lab).

Part 2: Assistant District Attourney

Investigation (part 1)--

You'll have a lot of evidence to throw away when you start. Toss out these
items:
Boots (normal and lab), car window (normal), Cindy photo (normal), waiver, CD
(normal and lab), and the pamphlet (normal and research).

First off, have surveillance follow Diana Quinn, then send Martin Tanner for a
psych evaluation. If you've sent the financial report in on the first half of
the game, you'll get the results back. Later on, you'll get a call from Donovan
for another place to check out.

Dr. Richard Blythe (1st time)--

You'll get to him when you get Martin Tanner's psych evaluation.

1. Did you treat the Tanners' son after he was injured in an accident?
2. What was Jamie's prognosis?
3. What did you do for Jamie?
4. What did you recommend the Tanners do?
5. Did Jamie die before Mr. Tanner was able to contact Dr. Ramos?

financial report.

When prompted, show the report (research).

1. Why would Martin and Cindy Tanner have an American Motors financial report?
2. What were the terms of the settlement?
3. What were the Tanners holding out for?
4. Why did American Motors settle if the Tanner case had little going for it?
5. If the Tanners were on a crusade, why would they settle for so little?

Getting your case set up--

Subpoena these people:

3. Since you hadn't received your money from Dr. Ramos, why didn't you contact
a lawyer?
4. Why call Ramos daily, send him threatening letters, and then assume the

4. Where are the samples now?

Donny Morales--

1. Can you tell us more about Tanner's movements the night of the murder?
2. Do you know Cindy Tanner?
3. What did Cinday ask you about exactly?

Burt Lasky, Hudson Metal Works--

pair of bolt cutters by a refrigerator.

Use the crowbar to open up the delivery truck and the bolt cutters to open up
the toolbox and you'll find......the gun! Send it to the lab immediately.

Preparing for court--

To do this, click on Rebuttal Subpoena and put only this person in:

Rita Miller

For evidence, put in the gun (normal and lab)

Prosecution Rebuttal--

Rita Miller

1. What is your expertise in medicine, Dr. Miller?
2. Did you run any tests recently for Dr. Ramos?
3. Can you tell us anything about the disease?
4. How did Dr. Ramos react to your findings?
5. Can you tell us about the log sheet from your laboratory entered into
evidence?
The defense will object, so counter with this:
This docment should be admitted as an exception to the hearsay rule since it's
an official business record.
6. Could you explain the signature on the line below that?
7. What is "Bio 8"?

Cross examination.

Object to the first thing that comes out of his mouth.

1. Did you intend to mislead this jury that this sample was from Jamie Tanner?
(argumentative)

Paul Kim

You only have one topic and that's the gun.

evidence?
2. Were there any fingerprints on the gun?

Lennie Briscoe

The only topic is the gun.

1. What can you tell us about this gun?

Click on closing arguments and if you did everything to the letter, you've won!
