What's Up! This is Averman bring yet another FAQ. I've been away from the FAQ
making biz for a while but I'm back to bring you the X2: Wolverine's Revenge
Boss FAQ. When I heard they made a game staring Wolverine for PS2, I jumped at
the chance to buy this game. After playing it, I soon realized I should've
rented it. Don't get me wrong, it is a good game but it could have been a whole
lot better. Anyway, when I saw there wasn't a boss FAQ, I jumped at the chance
to make one. So here it is.
Lets get started!
o------------X-------------o
Why did I make this FAQ?
o------------X-------------o
I made this FAQ because I wanted to share my knowledge of the bosses with my
fellow gamers. In my opinion the boss fights are the only hard parts of the
game. The rest is pretty easy. I just ran threw the whole thing, killed some
people, destroyed things, healed, and repeat. I hardly used stealth or the
stealth strike because I didn't really need too. There are only on a few levels
where it can really help but it's only slower that way. :)

This section contains a strategy, difficulty ratings, and my personal take on
how to defeat each boss.
x---------------x
I. Sabertooth
x---------------x
Difficulty Rating: *
This is your first boss fight and its against Wolverine's long time nemesis
Sabertooth. This fight isn't as hard as it seems. Just be sure you avoid the
fire and follow the strategy below.
First off, retract you claws and use your fists to fight Sabertooth. I feel
it's a lot easier and you don't really need them. Repeatedly attack Sabertooth
until you see a cut-scene of a tanker coming down. The best way to beat
Sabertooth is to avoid his attacks and after one of his attacks jump behind
him. You'll eventually see the STRIKE in the corner of your screen. Perform a
strike move (Press the STRIKE button) and the strike move will allow you to
throw Sabertooth the direction that he is facing. Toss Sabertooth at the tanker
3 times and he will be defeated. He'll get up one more time but will fall to
the ground. Perform one more STRIKE and he'll be finished.
x--------------x
II. Wendigo
x--------------x
Difficulty Rating: ***
Defeating Wendigo is really simple: just get behind him claw him a few times
and wait for the STRIKE to appear. Hit the STRIKE button and you'll have to
toss him across the room. Repeat until his health is gone. If it's that easy
why the three stars? Well, after you toss Wendigo, he jumps to the center of
the stage and causes an avalanche of ice that can cause a lot of damage to
Wolverine. Also the ice floor makes it hard to move around and if you happen to
fall off, you're treated to a brutal cut-scene of Wolverine falling to his
death.
You're probably wondering "Where did the get the idea to put Wendigo in this
game?". I did a little research and it turns out that Wolverine traded blows
with Wendigo and the Hulk in his first comic book appearance.
x-----------------x
III. Sabertooth
x-----------------x
Difficulty: ***
This your second fight with your arch-nemesis Sabertooth. He's a lot harder
than last time because of the STRIKE moves you'll have to do. First, beat the
crap out of him until you see the STRIKE. Press the STRIKE button and you'll
toss him into the flaming truck. You might have to do this a couple of times.
Unfortunately, he'll pop back out and start throwing barrels at you. You can
either dodge the barrels and counter-attack or punch the barrels back at him.
When Sabertooth's health is low enough, he'll start jumping around trying to
crush you. Here's the hard part, when he's in the air a green X will mark where
he'll land. You'll have to maneuver yourself onto the green x and quickly
execute a STRIKE move. It might take a few tries and if you're taking too much
damage, back off to let Wolvie heal.
Too be honest I think Wolvie could beat Sabertooth easily. Sure Sabertooth has
size over Wolverine but when you're packing two sets of adamantium claws, it's
kinda hard to lose. Too bad you couldn't finish Sabertooth of the first time.
x------------------x
IV. Juggernaught
x------------------x
Difficulty: ****
This is arguably the hardest fight of the game. You are pitted up against
Juggernaught, one of the most powerful enemies ever. It's an all out fight in a
ring surround by an electrical field. There is no running from this one, the
electrical field will do a fair amount of damage to Wolvie if he gets too
close. To make things even worse, there are guards throwing grenades of green
gas into the ring. If you happen to walk threw it, Wolverine will be stunned
until Juggernaught hits you or you wiggle the left-analog stick enough.
To beat Juggernaught, you'll have to make him run into the "poles" of the
electric fence. The electrical fence part just makes him dizzy. It's a lot
easier if you don't lock onto Juggernaught. (Press L1 when this happens) After
he hits an electrical pole, he'll fly into the center of the ring. Attack him
until you can perform your STRIKE and he'll eventually start losing strength.
When he gets weaker, he'll create shockwaves by jumping around the ring or
using his fists. You can jump or duck to dodge these but you'll have to time it
just right. Once you get Juggernaught to zero health, Colossus will come and
help you finish him. Pat yourself on the back; you just beat Juggernaught.
Why couldn't Wolverine fight Omega Red instead?
x-------------x
V. Magneto
x-------------x
Difficulty: *****
This IS the hardest fight in the game. Magneto has the power of magnetism
meaning he can attract or detract any type of metal and manipulate it to any
form he desires. This means big time trouble for Wolverine because he's whole
skeleton is laced with adamantium. In the comics, Magneto is pulled out all of
the adamantium out of Wolverine's body. In the movies, Wolverine couldn't even
touch Magneto without being repelled backward. I'm just telling you this
because Wolverine has NO chance of beating Magneto. Well, maybe if you remove
Wolverine's bone skeleton.
Anyway, to beat Magneto it's going to be really tough. You super sense actually
comes in handy here. It will allow you to track Magneto's movements. Normally
Magneto could instantly beat Wolverine but, fortunately for you, Magneto is a
sporting a dampening collar that prevents him from going full power. During the
fight Magneto will try to remove this collar while he's doing this you have
Dive Jump onto him. From the starting point, forget about Magneto for now, and
head straight to the other side of the room. Be careful of the molten lava
below the gate walkway. At the other side of the room, you'll see a platform.
This is where Magneto will stop and try to take off his collar. Above it is a
ledge where you have to Dive Jump off and attack Magneto. You can stand at the
platform and wait for him to come, you'll have to walk around and maybe take
some damage. Just be patient and watch him closely with Wolverine's supper
sense.
Magneto will launch several attacks at you; he'll send balls of energy at you,
magnetize you making hard to walk around, and pick you straight up into the
air. Also be wary of the floating objects. If it floats, it'll hurt. Whatever
you do, don't try to take Magneto head on, you'll just die faster.
Note: To Dive Jump press jump & punch at the same time while running.
x-----------------------x
VI. Lady Death Strike
x-----------------------x
Difficulty:****
Lady Death Strike isn't as hard as Magneto but you should still expect a
challenge. Fighting Lady Death Strike is broken into four parts. The first part
is really easy. Fight Lady Death Strike like you would any enemy. Just remember
to use caution because you can't heal. Pummel Lady Death Strike until you can
execute a STRIKE move. (I think the STRIKE moves you do to her are pretty
cool!) You have to STRIKE Death Strike three times before you can move on.
Climb up the ladder to proceed to the upper level and you'll enter part 2.
You'll have to destroy the four control panels at the left and right walls of
the upper level. Death Strike will try to slow you down by throwing satellite
towers at you, clawing pipes that spew fire, and just getting in your face. The
fire and the falling satellites can be easily avoided. Just keep moving and
you'll be fine.
Part 3 is where this fight gets a little harder. To deal damage to Death
Strike, you have to wait until one of the electric poles reaches its peak and
claw at it so it'll hit Death Strike. It sounds hard to do because it is. It's
best just to hang around until the pole closest to Death Strike reaches its
peak and claw at it. You'll always hit that way. After a few hits to Lady Death
Strike a door will open up which will lead you to the helipad and to part 4.
Part 4 is really easy; just attack her until she falls off the helipad. She'll
die after the fall. Congratulations, you've just beaten the game.

Tired? Frustrated? Having a little trouble beating the game? Why not cheat!
Here are all of the cheats I could find. I managed to find cheats for EVERY
system that this game was released on just for you. You can thank me later. ;)
Note: I'm not sure if all of the codes work for their respective system. If you
find an error in any of my codes or a code doesn't work, email me at
Averman62@hotmail.com.
You must be at the title screen to enter a code. You'll here a noise if you do
any of them correctly.
