Unreal Tournament is, in my opinion, one of the best games ever. Some
my disagree, but the sheer size of it blew me away, as im sure it did a
few other people. The game modes are the great thing about it. There's
a wide variety of customisation about what kind of match you play.
Having said that, there are two things I want to tell people about in
this FAQ.
The first is a mutator called "species statistics". Basically it takes
the various races of Unreal Tournament and makes them more... real. Some
jump higher, some run faster, some do more damage. I'm going to explain
what the differences are for each race, as well as a few background
details as well.
The second thing I want to tell people about in this FAQ is the species
themselves. They come from every corner in the unreal universe to
compete in the ultimate blood sport where fame and glory is the prize
over death and humiliation.
The Unreal Tournament franchise has been going strong since 1999. The
first game was great. The second, most people thought, was a little
disappointing. Now, with the Tournament entering its 10th year. Old
teams are reforming, legends are returning and new hopefuls are all
competing for the prize.
Unreal Tournament has evolved to a new level in Unreal Tournament 2004.
There are more ways to play and more ways to do it in. It's a lot more
fun as well.

SPECIES AND THEIR STATISTICS
-----------------------------------------------------------
Gen Mo'Kai
----------
Description:
The Gen Mo'Kai are rated very nicely in the agility department, though
they are let down by health and damage done. Perhaps if you were good
at dodging the bullets/Shells/Rockets this race would be good to
consider. They are considerably skinny and look pretty hardcore to boot
<_<
Pros:
20% more maneuverable in the air
30% faster on the ground, accelerate
10% faster than humans
10% higher jump
10% faster aerial dodge speed
Cons:
20% lower health
10% less damage
Robots / Cybernetics
--------------------
Description:
These characters seem to fit a type of "Robot stereotype" because they
are more immobile but ever so slightly harder to kill. Their penalties
are all related to speed. They have a massive boost in dodging ability
and slightly more health. Their frame is built like humans without the
skin and blood and stuff obviously.
Pros:
10% more health
60% higher dodging ability on the ground
Cons
20% slower walking speed
30% slower crouching movement
30% penalty to aerial dodging speed
Egyptians
---------
Description:
Well to be honest it wouldn't surprise me if this particular race of
Egyptians were athletes of some sort O_O;; Great movement in the air,
everything else is lowered slightly. Not much of a loss. They are all
built like humans (because they are humans) except they have clothing
related to their area of worship.
Pros:
150% better control in the air
30% higher jump
50% better aerial dodge
Cons:
15% max health penalty
10% less damage
20% slower acceleration
10% dodging penalty on the ground
Juggernauts
-----------
Description:
Juggernauts were built to be the "tanks" of the game. This is evident
from the large tradeoff from everything else to a 90% health increase.
If you find yourself dying to quickly, try these characters out. They
are represented through Goliath and Juggernauts teams in single player.
They also have the largest build, making them quite a target.
Pros:
90% more health
Cons:
Depending on which character you chose there would be some penalties
that include speed, jump height, acceleration, aerial dodging
abilities. These can be down 10-20%.
Description:
They are represented through three main teams in this tournament, and
they are the most common race in it. They are of course, the humans.
Statistic-wise they are the only race without a con. However their only
pro is a small increase in health. They are more meant to "set the
standard" for other races than have their own individual gains. They
are built like you would expect, they are all strong and come on Male
and Female varieties.
Pros:
30% more health
Cons:
None
Nightmares
----------
Description:
The Nightmares abilities are all based around agility. No health
changes this time. Perfect for a game mode such as Bombing run where
you need to run fast to achieve a goal. Just make sure you don't jump
around too much. They take humanoid forms.
Pros:
50% faster walking speed
20% faster crouching speed
Cons:
10% penalty to ground speed and jump height
Skaarj
------
Description:
The Skaarj are the bad guys in the Unreal Universe. But that doesn't
mean people aren't going to like them. They aren't disadvantages with
around the same pros and cons as the other alien race, the Gen Mo'kai.
The difference? They have slightly bigger and meaner.
Pros:
10% faster
20% more maneuverable while airborne
20% percent faster ground speed
10% enhanced aerial dodge
10% higher jump
Well, this is goodbye for now. In the future I will add more to this
FAQ as it is discovered. I hope you found it interesting and
enlightening. I have tried my best to inform people so please
reconsider filling my inbox with hate mail and the like. FAQ makers
have feeling too ^_^
Have fun with Unreal Tournament 2004!!
