Introduction:
+---------------+

This guide I origanaly made to help myself get the best deals in the game but
I've expanded it to a public ready guide just for the hell of it. I don't
expect to update it but if someone emails me I'll check it out and put it in
the guide.

This game is an open RPG so I didn't cover the quests, (they are covered
elswhere on gameFAQs.com) I instead worked on prices, trades routs, etc.

This game has a bunch of gameplay bugs so save often, and rotate through all
your avalible save slots so you can go back to before it messed up.

City abbreviations in this guide:
+-----------------------------------+

To save space, (and so I only misspell each city once :P) all the cities from
Pirates of the Caribbean are abbreviated to one letter in this guide as
follows:

Redmond R
Greenford G
Oxbay O
Falaise de Fleur F
Conceicao C
Conceicao Smuglers S
Quebradas Costillas Q
Isla Muelle I
Douwesen D
Douwesen Pirates P
Khoal Roa K

here is a map of where each city is if 2 letters are touching it means that
they are on the same island north is up on this map as usual

Cargo items:
+--------------+

The following is a table of all the buy/sell prices for each cargo item at each
shop if the entry is a fraction (9/5) then it means the shop sells it at 9/item
and buys it at 5/item if there is only one number in the entry that item is
contraband and the given price is what the smugglers give you. Since the
Conceicao smugglers don’t have a smuggler, (they have a diplomat instead) the
contraband for them is blank.

You can get the contraband in regular shops with the trustworthy lad ability
but generally it’s a waste of time as the prices aren’t great and even early
in the game you can outrun/outfence the officials that stop smugglers, (don’t
try to sink them early though use kipnels.)

These prices do change mid-game slightly and these are the prices from my game
as of the first time I hit each shop.

The Douwesen Pirates don't have a shop that's why it's not listed.

Cannonballs, Grapes, Knippels and Bombs cost the same everywhere so I didn't
bother to list them.

This table thanks to Pierre-Luc Germain. GameFAQs has a line-length limit so I
had to wrap the sell value onto a second line rather than expanding the table.

Trade routes:
+---------------+

The following is a table of the profitable trade routes based on the table
above since the prices change a little some might not be profitable in your
game so watch out. Weight is important because a profit of 1/unit is more than
a profit of 2/unit if the second unit is too heavy, (too heavy means less units
fit on your ship(s).)

the letters before the > are the places to buy the letters after the > are
places to sell.

Ships:
+--------+

Note it is WAY cheaper to repair ships yourself than to get the shipyard to do
it for you, (3 frigates had 56700 worth of damage and I repaired them myself
for about 8500 (with 10 repair skill but it's still cheaper even with less
skill)) get the quick repairs ability asap and buy planks and sailcloth then
use the ability and exchange ships to use the ability on any other ships you
own, (you'll slowly get back the top 10% of your health as long as you have
enough supplys) I go for around 1/10 of the max HP in planks and about 1/20th
in sailcloth at all times it's heavy but it saves you in the middle of battle
or storms.

Here is a list of the attributes of each ship you can buy, and where to get it.
The columns are in the same order as in game, cre means crew off means officers
can is number of cannons.

The ships avalible at each area change during the game, this is what I saw the
first time I hit each shipyard. Note that each area gives bonuses to different
stats.
