1.0 About this FAQ
Well, hello everyone. This is my first FAQ, so I hope you like it. You can use
this FAQ for yourself, as long as you don't sell it, don't take credit for it,
etc. If you want to use it for your website, please E-mail me before doing so.
If you have any comments, doubts, critics, or additions you can contact me on

In this FAQ I'll try to cover everything about Mu Online, but not only the
Global Mu(see below), but everything Webzen removed from it too. I'll also try
to explain how to play, and explain how the game works, as there isn't a real
"ending" on this game. This isn't meant to be a walktrough, but more like a
guide to introduce people to Mu Online and it's features.

If you want to find something, use Control-F and look for a section. This FAQ
isn't really big anyway, so don't worry ^^.

1.1 About Mu Online
First of all, this game, it's characters, design and that stuff are all
Copyrighted to Webzen, nothing on it is mine. By the way, this game is Korean,
but don't worry as it's fully translated most of the time.

This game is not like other games where you go, kill the final boss and
Game Over, Mu is an MMORPG(Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game)
which has almost no end. At the beginning it seems that your only have to
kill monsters but you end up making new friends (REAL-life friends) and
you have a really good time playing. The game itself is really addictive
and it takes a very long time to level up, get what you want and that stuff.
The game itself really doesn't have to do a lot with it's "storyline"(if you
even think that story has to do with the game), but it's still attractive, as
it's 3D, the characters don't have polygons or pixels; everything looks really
neat. A main thing you should keep in mind is that the Mu provided by Webzen
is called "Global" and the ones hosted by regular people are called "Private
Servers". I have nothing to do with Webzen, but Global is more to show people
what Mu will look like when finished(as it's still a beta, but a very complete
one), so it doesn't have many things, and it's extremely hard to get anything.


2.Before Playing:
2.0 What do I need to play Mu Online?
Believe it or not, you may have several problems with Mu at first. Maybe you
have the ultimate computer with the ultimate updates and accessories, but as
any game Mu needs some files. The thing is, where to get them? If you are
going to play Global you only have to go to the official site:
http://www.muonline.com. I don't really want to make critics, but this page
is really slow, as it's hosted in Korea(no offense to anyone, I mean, it's a
long distance) and it's not just plain text or HTML. Anyway, you register
there and then you can download the files.

Mu's standard client is about 80-85 MB. It takes long but it's worth it. On
the site you can also see information about monsters, characters, game system,
etc., but the site is somewhat incomplete. If you have an experienced friend,
then you are lucky, as it's hard to understand some stuff if you haven't
played a similar game before. Also, if you have never played Mu before,
you shouldn't start on Global as it's very hard to get strong there. This is
where Private servers are important.

2.1 Which is the difference between Global and Private?
Global is the server hosted by Webzen. Private servers are servers that any
person in the world host. Most Private servers have different settings than
Global. This settings are often:

Experience
Drop Rate
Shops
Jewel Bugs
Connection Speed

Of course there are many others, as if you own the server you can change most
of the game. If you just begin playing Mu, you should try playing on a
private server first. This is, because of the settings that Private servers
can manipulate. Check the Private Server section for more information.

2.2 How to start Global
When you finish downloading the client, you just open it and it installs
by itself like any program would do. When you finish, open the game.
You should see the client. This little window allows you to connect.
you should see a window inside it which shows the lastest news on
Global Server, and 3 buttons: Options, Connect and Exit. In Options
you can write your account's name so you don't have to type it when you
log in. You can change Mu's resolution(you should do it or text may look blurly
and it will run slower), and Enable sound and/or music. A big plus this client
has is that if Webzen updates in any way the server, it automatically
updates itself. Quit is self-explanatory and Connect starts the game.


2.3 How to start Private
Private servers often have different versions from Global's. Global's
is always around 98 which updates every now and then but Privates have
a stable version which should be available on that server's page.
The most popular versions are 97 and 97D(there IS a difference). Less
used versions are 96Y, 97B, and 98. Often, servers which really dedicate
themselves develop their own clients(or even own versions) to connect
to them, but, most of the time you can use this two methods i'm going to
explain:

Launcher:
In most Private server sites, you should find the 80 MB client(this client is
often version 96Y), below it the server's version(97, 97D, etc.) and a
translation as the main client is often in Korean. The way to
"install" this is extracting the main client on a folder, then overwrite
it with the server(s)'s version, then extract the translation in [where you
extracted the client]/Data/Local overwriting the Korean Names.
Now, the main client(the 80 MB thing) often has the launcher on it.
The file is named most of the time "Launcher.exe". When you open it
you will find something similar to Global's client. You can change
the resolution, turn on sound and/or music AND ALSO you can register
multiple servers on it, BUT they all have to use the same version.
It's pretty easy to do. There's often a server with foreign characters,
ignore it. Click the ADD button. You should get something like this:

In name just type any name. On server IP you have to type the IP of the
Private server you want to play. If you don't know what an IP is, it's
like the phone number of a computer. If the Launcher knows it, it can
"call" to the server. IPs are composed of 4 numbers from 0 to 255.
an IP could be 200.172.64.12(if someone has that IP, sorry, I just
chose four random numbers). Some servers also get a different IP address
which is not a group of numbers, but it's more like a website. An
example would be "dabestserver.no-ip.com". This "website" IPs often are
from No-IP, Servergame, or Dydns. Anyway, back to the client. Port
is the port where the client will connect to. This port is very, very
rare to change. It's almost always 44405, only a few Korean servers have
different ports(don't really know why, but Korean servers have their own
client most of the time). Reg page it's for you to remember the registration
page, it's optional.

After choosing your server from the drop-down list, just click RUN.

Shortcut:
This method is simplier than the launcher and you can do it with
any server that you know it's IP, version and port. Look at the server's
version at it's website. Find the directory where you installed that version
and look for a file named "Main.exe". I don't really know a lot about
different Operative Systems, but create a shorcut to that file(on
Windows, right click Main.exe and choose "Create Shortcut"). Now open
the shorcut's Properties(right-click and choose Properties). There it
says where Main.exe is located, something like:

"C:\Mu\main.exe"

Now after the "s type:

" /connectu[yourserver'sIP] /p44405"

without the "s. The spaces DO matter. Of course change [yourserver'sIP] for
your server's IP.

3.Inside the Game:
After you finally chose a server, and opened Mu, you will see a button. This
button is the server you'll connect to. Global has 2 Servers: Wigle and Maya.
I've heard Wigle has harder monsters, but higher chance of dropping items,
when Maya has weaker monsters, but lower drop rate. Click it and select a
subserver. Subservers are servers with the same configuration between them;
the data is shared so you don't lose your character. Global has 8 servers on
both, Wigle and Maya, and also, on servers 1 and 15 of Global, hitting other
players is not allowed. After your decision, log in and you'll find a New
Character button, then comes the old question:


3.0 Which Character should I choose?

This can be a very hard. Mu only has 3 Characters at the beginning, and
when you level one of them to level 220, you unlock the 4th Character.
Each of them has pros and cons, their abilities, etc.
But anyway, Which is better?

Dark Knight:
The dark haired dude. This Character is based in pure strength, and meelee
combat. Often leader of groups. Pretty easy to level up. Good for beginners.
He has some flaws but it's easy to get around them. If you plan to max him
out, he becomes the powerfullest character.

Pros:
-Starts with the highest HP of all characters.
-Has more armors than the other Characters.
-These also have more defense than the others'.
-Can equip 2 One-handed weapons giving him even more power.
-His special techniques are the Skills. This Skills are attached to the
weapons.
-Can also learn a permanent attack Skill: Twisting Slash.
-Last but not least, he learns another permanent skill, but not an
attacking move, Inner Strength which increases his already high HP.

Cons:
-Starts with very low Mana and gets only 0.5 mana per level
-Has some problems with long-ranged enemies
-Mana and/or Stamina is used up really fast
-Can't hit too many monsters at once
-Can't hit enemies stading away from him.


Dark Wizard:
The dark spellcaster. This is my favorite character, but it doesn't
mean it's the best. Pretty hard to level up. As you may think, this
character's main ability is casting spells.

Pros:
-Has a lot of power casting spells
-Can hit enemies far away, around him and all over the screen
-Has a large number of spells to cast
-Can inflict Statuses on Enemies
-Armors don't need a lot of strength to be used
-Has the highest Mana of the game and gets 2 mana per level
-Can use part of his Mana instead of HP with the spell Mana Shield.

Cons:
-Has the lowest defense on his armors
-Has the lowest HP
-Can't use most of the weapons
-Has to find the items to learn most of the spells


Elf:
Elves are the only females in Mu. Elves can be risen in two ways(Agility or
Energy), making them very useful. Both kinds can use the Multiple shoot
and the permanent Skill, Penetration, and the Energy Elf can use Summons and
White Magic AKA Sorcery. One thing to add is that this division doesn't mean
you can't switch, but it's really hard to make an Elf with both parts,
actually, it's harder than raising any other character.

Agility Elf Pros:
-Average Character on everything
-Can use stronger (Cross)Bows
-Can use some Dark Knight weapons
-Can use higher level armors
-Can train by theirselves without problems
-Has a great range and can hit about 4 enemies in one shot.
-Multiple Shoot is attached to (Cross)Bows already.

Agility Elf Cons:
-Armors and (Cross)Bows need A LOT of agility to be used
-Even with all the agility, Elves need more agility than the other
characters to get more defense.
-Bows need Arrows(Crossbows need Bolts) and if you suddenly run out of them
you have to buy more, as monsters don't drop them.

Energy Elf Pros:
-Can increase attack, Defense, and heal herself or others around(AKA buffing)
-Very useful when in a group
-Most sociable character
-You can summons monsters and let them do the dirty work, and you can even
buff it,

Energy Elf Cons:
-Very, Very hard to raise. Not recommened for beginners.
-If you lose your buffs for a split second you will be owned by the
enemies.
-As you need to increase your Energy, you can't wear stronger armors.
-Yoy can't heal your summon.


Magic Gladiator:
This character is more like a dream on Global. Reaching level 220 can
take months, but it's worth it. This red haired dude combines the Dark
Knight and Dark Wizard in one. The only weird thing is....why can't he wear a
helmet???

Pros:
-Gets 7 stat points per level instead of 5.
-His armors have the highest defense
-Can use Dark Knight and Dark Wizard weapons, skills, spells and armors
(except for Black Dragon set, Inner Strength skill, Energy Ball, Teleport
and Mana Shield).
-Looks a lot cooler than the rest ^^.
-Can also use two One-handed weapons OR STAFFS.
-Runs without boots+5(explained below)
-Swims without gloves+5(explained below)
-Can enter maps with only 2/3 of the level required.

Cons:
-Don't ask me why, but he can't wear a helmet.
-Maybe you will like more your lvl 220 character than starting all over.
-Every stat need more stat points to increase.
-His strongest armors and weapons need the highest requirements.


So, it's up to you what you like the most. Now, after choosing your character,
type his or her name(+4 Characters) and then s/he will appear on the screen.
On this screen you can always check your characters Class, Level, name and
Equipments. Double-click him/her to start playing.

After that, Mu's logo will show up while loading and you will appear in
Lorencia if you chose a Dark Knight, a Dark Wizard or Magic Gladiator. If you
chose and Elf, she will appear in Noria.

3.1 I'm in, but what's this?

As you finally start playing, you'll find your character, the city which can
be either Lorencia or Noria, two jewels, one red and one blue, and some little
icons near them.

But what's that? Let's explain slowly. The red jewel represents your HP or Hit
Points, and the blue one represents your Mana.
There are three blank spaces next to the red jewel. Those represent your
potions:the Q represent HP potions, the W represents your Mana potions,
and the E one can be one of five items, the Town Portal Scrolls, Antidotes,
Alcohols, Olives of Love or Love Charms.
Next you'll find an empty black gap if you didn't choose a Dark Wizard. That
gap shows which skill/spell/sorcery you are using. Only the Dark Wizard starts
with one, the Energy Ball.
Then, there is a flag, a magnifiying glass and a bag. The flag represents your
party, the glass shows your character stats, and the bag opens your inventory.
Next to the Mana Jewel you can see a Purple Bar which represents your Stamina
and next to that you see two buttons: One shows two "friends", which opens your
Buddy list(on Global or really high version private servers) and the one below
shows two swords, which represents your Guild.
At the bottom left you can also see the coordinates where you are standing.
Over the coordinates you find something like a button inside a button which
opens the commands menu(again, on global or high version Private servers).
Above all of this there is a yellow bar which represents your experience.
If you hover the cursor over this yellow bar you'll see three icons, the
whisper, the chat and chat transparency.

Now, explaining even slower, here is every section for anyone who isn't
familiar to some terms:

HP: This is your life, how much damage you can stand before dying. If it
reaches 0 you die. Nothing new. If you need to recover HP, just lean on a
wall, sit somewhere, or drink a Healing Potion.

Mana: As long as you have Mana, you can cast spells, use skills or sorcery.
Mana is also known as MP: Magic Points. Mana reloads by itself but very
slowly. You can recover it faster by drinking a Mana Potion. Also, if you
level up, your Mana goes back to full.

The Gaps: When you have potions, the Q and W gaps shows how many you have. The
Healing Potions are located in the Q gap and the Mana Potions in the W one.
You can drink one of them by pressing the corresponding key(Q or W). The third
gap can be changed. To select an item for it, hover the cursor over the item
and press CTRL+E. By pressing the E key, you consume that item.

The Skill gap: to use a skill, you have to right-click, but all the charcters
have more than one skill, so if you want to choose a different one, you click
on the symbol and it shows all your skills. The one you see in the middle is
the skill you would use by right-clicking. You can also set hotkeys to your
skills by hovering the mouse over them and then hold CTRL+0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9
on it. When you press that number, you will automatically choose that skill.

Party: Party means going in a group with someone. When you open it, you'll
find all the members in the party. You can leave by clicking the X next to
your name and if you are the creator of the party, you can kick anyone out of
it by clicking the X next to their names. You can completely disolve the Party
if you created it by clicking the X next to your name. This menu shows the
location, the Hp and the names of everyone in the party.

Character: This opens a menu where you can see the name of your character, his
or her level, his/her class(Dark Knight, Dark Wizard, etc.) and your stats.
I'll explain the Stats later. You can also add points to your stats on this
menu by clicking the big "+" buttons.

Inventory: This opens your inventory(oooh!). You can equip your character here.
You pick up the item(s) by clicking on them and drop them on the place where
you want to equip them(I mean, gloves on the hands, boots on the feet, etc.).
You Character divides in the following slots:

Guardian: you can equip a Guardian Angel, Satan, Horn of Uniria or Horn of
Dinorant here.

Wings: You can equip Wings here.

Head: You can equip helmets here. Magic Gladiators don't have this slot.

Left Hand: You equip your main weapon here. If you have two weapons, you get
the attack speed from this weapon. Elves equip the Arrows or Crossbows here.

Ear: Altough you have 2 ears, you can only equip one pendant.

Chest: You equip your armor here.

Right Hand: If you are a Dark Knight or Magic Gladiator, you can equip your
second weapon here. If you are an Elf, here is where you equip the Bolts for
your Crossbow, or if you use a Bow, here is where the Bow goes. Any character
equips shields on this hand.

Hands: You equip gloves here.

Left Finger: You equip one ring here.

Legs: You equip your pants here.

Right Finger: You equip another ring here. Don't know why you can't use your
other 8 fingers but oh well.

Feet: You equip boots here.

Then you have 64 (8x8)squares which represent the rest of your inventory. Here
you hold the items you are not using like potions. Every item takes up some
squares of your inventory and there are different amounts, like 1. 1x1, 2x2,
2x4, etc.

Stamina: The Stamina is similar to Mana. If you don't have it, you can't use
skills/Spells/Sorcery which need Stamina. There are no potions to recover it,
but it reloads by itself.

Coordinates: I hope you know what they are. Anyway, maps in Mu have coordinates
like real maps. The Top-left is 0 ; 0 and the bottom right is 255 ; 255. In the
first number, 0 is West, about 127 is the middle and 255 is East. In the
second one, 0 is North, 127 is the middle and 255 is South. This is useful when
you don't know where a person is.

Buddy List: This is extremely rare to see on a private server. Often, you can
only see the button but not use it. On Global it's Enabled, and it's similar
to a Messenger service, like MSN, AOL or ICQ. You choose a buddy and you can
check if s/he is online, on which server, and you can chat with them. For a fee
of 1000 zen you can send him/her a letter which stays there until they delete
it.

Guild: You can make Guilds when you reach certain level, usually 100 or 180.
This menu is similar to the Party menu, only that it also shows if that member
is online or not and in which server s/he is. Guilds are like clans, groups,
clubs, etc.

Commands: Opens a menu with commands which are:

-Trade: Trade another player.(minimum level required: 6).
-Party: Invite that player to your party.
-Follow: If you are in a party, your character will follow the one you chose).
-Guild: Join to that player's Guild. The other player has to be the owner of
the guild(AKA Guild Master).
-Duel: Challenge the other player to a Duel. You can't Duel a Phonomaniac.
-Whisper: Speak in private with that person(minimum level required: 6)

To use this commands make sure you are using them at the right time and that
you are close to the other player. Click the command you want to use and right-
click the other player.

Experience Bar: You should know this already. If you get enough experience,
you level up. When you fill this bar, a number will show up saying how many
times you filled it. When you reach 10, you level up. If you hover your mouse
over it you can see how much experience you have and how much you need to
level up (let's say, you have 50 experience and you need 100, you will be on
the 5th bar and if you hover your mouse you'll see 50/100).

Whisper: This little ear icon is used when Whispering. If you don't want to
delete the name of your whispering's reciever, you can click here and you'll
speak normally, then click it again and you'll be able to whisper.

Chat: This opens a little chat log.

Chat Transparency: Adjusts it so you can see trough it. It isn't that dark
anyway.


3.2 Controls
I'm pretty sure you are already bored of these explanations, so let's get into
the controls:

Left-Click:
-On empty floor: Walk/Run/Fly/Ride. Movement.
-On an item on the floor: Pick up. If the item is not yours, you have to wait
for about 10 seconds(less if you are in party with that person or if the item
is a potion) to do so.
-On an item on a shop: Buy.
-On an item in your inventory: You pick it up. If you click again on your
inventory, it stays there but if you click out of it you drop the item on the
floor. If you drop it on the Shop's items, you sell it.
-On a monster: Physical Attack, not with skill. Your character will keep
hitting the monster if automatic attack is enabled(see below).
-On a request: Accept or Cancel a request.
-On an X: kick out a person of a party/guild.
-On a Trade: Accept(the O) or Cancel(the X) the trade.
-On the + in the character menu: Add 1 stat point to that stat.
-On certain walls or chairs: Sit/Lean.
-On another Character: Go next to that character.
-On a Shop: Open the Shop.

Right-click:
-On an potion, antidote, town portal scroll, love charm or alcohol: consume the
item.
-On a Scroll or Orb: Learn the skill/spell/sorcery(only if you meet the
requirements).
-On a player before speaking: Whisper to that player.(If you can Whisper).
-On a monster/Player and sometimes on the ground: Use skill/spell/sorcery shown
in the Skill gap. Your character will keep using that move until s/he runs out
of mana and/or stamina or by some reason can't use that skill.
-On an item when you are in your vault: Move that item to the vault.

Esc key: opens a menu with the following:

Exit game: self-explanatory.

Select Server: Returns to the Server screen.

Switch Character: Returns to the New Character Screen.

Options: Enable sound when you recieve a whisper and turn on/off automatic
attack, (also, +/- volume, and a scrolling help on Global only).

Exit: closes this menu.

F1 key: opens a little help to remember commands. Press it again to go to the
next page, press it again to close.

F4 key: opens the chat log. You know. The last thing the players said next to
you.

Alt Print Screen: Takes a screenshot.

0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9: switches skill if you set hotkeys to them

Enter: Opens like a "console" where you can type messages. If you type anything
like "I like cookies", your character will say I like cookies and everyone
around will hear it.

If you press TAB you can type a Character's name. If you press TAB again you
can type anything like I like cookies and if that Character is online only s/he
will hear it. This is known as Whispering.

If you Whispered many players, you can press TAB and then use the keys UP and
DOWN to navigate trough their names so you don't have to type hard names like
<*StAr-FaLl*>.

If you type @ and something like I like cookies only the guild you belong to
will hear you.

If you type ~ and then I like cookies the party you are on currently will
hear you.

If you are a guild master and type @> then I like cookies, everytime a member
logs in s/he will see a "I like cookies" message.

If you type / and a weapon(or armor)'s name with the proper spelling,
it opens a little window which shows how much damage it inflicts(or protects),
how much Strength, and/or agility it needs, and which Class can equip it.

If you type /move or /warp or /go and a map's name(Lorencia for example), you
will warp to Lorencia. You have to have certain levels before being able to
warp to the maps. On global you can press the M key and find out when. This
also takes some thousands of money from your inventory.

If you type /trade, /duel, /party, /guild, or /Follow it does the same as the
corresponding command(see above).

If you type certain words like Win, or HaHa, your character does an animation
like Laughing or crying. The words are:

^^ or Haha Laugh
; or Sorry Head scratch
-_- Cross arms
beat it or Great Raises both arms
Bye Wave
Cold or hurts Rubs arms
Come Beckon someone
Cry or T_T or Sad Self explanatory
don't or Never "No" gesture
Good or Nice or Wow Clap
Hello or Thanks Bow (greeting)
OK Arm pump
Respect Kneel
Rush Lead your men forward
Sir Salute
That Points
Victory or Win Victory pose

If you type # before your message(again I like cookies for example) the "I like
cookies will last longer.

If you type /1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 0 and then I like cookies, everytime
you press ALT+that number, your character will say "I like cookies" so you
don't have to type it all the time. This is called Macro.

Q Key: Drinks one Healing potion

W Key: Drinks one Mana Potion

E Key: Uses up 1 of the item assigned(see above).

I or V Key: Opens Inventory.

P Key: Opens Party menu.

Backspace: Deletes the last character you typed(like in Word, or anywhere you
type on your computer) when typing.

Page Up and Page Down: Look trough the last words you heard or said.

F Key: Opens Buddy List(If available).

C Key: Opens Character Menu.

M Key: Opens Warp menu(Global Only).

ALT Key; You can see the name of an item on the floor.

ALT Key+Left Click: If someone is over your item, instead of clicking the other
character, you will click the item.

ALT+0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9: If you set up a Macro, your character will say it.

Spacebar: Picks up the newest item on the floor.

Control+Left-Click on another player: Hits the player with a physical attack.

Control+Right-click on another player: Hits the player with the chosen move.


3.3 The good and the bad:

Are all characters the same? Pretty much yes if we ignore the level and their
items. BUT, a player can be good or bad. Like in real life, killing a person=
bad, but if you put in jail a bad person(in this game, you kill him/her) you
are....good, right?

Anyway, in this game, you are shown as a Phonomaniac(I still don't understand
why it's called Phonomaniac. That would mean Addicted to communication) if you
kill many people, and a Hero if you kill many murderers.

But, what if you were hit first? This game has a little system called self-
defense. This means that if you are a commoner or a Hero and you get hit by
any player, you have a chance of 1 minute to hit back and even kill him/her
without becoming a murderer. If you are hit when you are a murderer or a
Phonomaniac, this system won't work, so don't hit people back unless
you are really mean. Also, if you hit someone, you can't exit the game, enter
or warp to another map until self-defense runs out.

So, you see, being a Phono sucks. Try to stay as commoner and you'll be

4.Items:
NOTE: If an item has a * next to it's name from now on, it's NOT available on
Global. If it has a ** next to it, check the Bugs section.


4.0 Potions:

There aren't really many potions. I call potions to anything you can consume
with the Q, W and E keys. This are potions for me:

Apple: Recovers your character's HP by a small amount.

Small Healing Potion: Recovers your character's HP by a bigger amount.

Healing Potion: Recovers your character's HP by a bigger amount.

Large Healing Potion: Recovers your character's HP by a bigger amount.

Small Mana Potion: Recovers your character's HP by a small amount.

Mana Potion: Recovers your character's HP by a small amount.

Large Mana Potion: Recovers your character's HP by a small amount.

Antidote: Heals your character when s/he is Poisoned.

NOTE: The above items can be grouped together in groups of 3 by yourself. The
server owner may edit shops to sell them in groups of 3, 5, 10, 18, 24, 50,
100, or 255 as the most common. Global only sells in groups of 3. If you
want to know exactly how much HP or Mana you'll get back with this or that
potion, you can look for the weird formulas at http://www.muonline.com in
game system>calculations.

Town Portal Scroll: Teleports you to the closest Safe area(a town or place
where enemies can't enter).

Alcohol: Increases your attack speed by 20 for one minute.

Love Charm(*): Increases your attack power by 20(similar to an Elf's buff).

Olive of Love(**): Increases your attack speed by 20 for one minute.


4.1 Accesories:

Accesories are the pendants and rings on the game. There aren't many really:

Pendant of Fire: Fire attacks have less chances to hit you.(Minimum level
required: 13).

Pendant of Lighting: Lighting attacks have less chances to hit you.(Minimum
level required: 21).

Ring of Poison: Your character has less chances of becoming poisoned. Two
Rings don't stack. (Minimum level required: 17).

Ring of Ice: Your character has less chances of being frozen. Two Rings don't
stack. (Minimum level required: 20).

Transformation rings(*): This Rings transform you into the monster of that
Ring. The use of this is fun, and also, if the monster is stronger than you,
you get the attack, defense and speed bonuses of that monster. Also, it's
animations when dying, moving and attacking. This rings have a limited use
but it's long enough to abuse it. If you are not transformed, take it out and
put it back or enter another map.

Budge Dragon Transformation Ring: Level 20

Giant Transformation Ring: Level 20.

Skeleton Transformation Ring: Level 20.

Poison Bull Fighter Transformation Ring: Level 50.

Thunder Lich Transformation Ring: Level 50.

Death Cow Transformation Ring: Level 50.

4.2 Guardians:
Guardians improve your character, but have a major weak point: They aren't
permanent. They have 255 HP, and they lose 1 HP everytime you are hit,
regardless if that hit was 1 or 200 damage. Their HP shows up on the top-right
with a green bar. When it runs out, you lose it.

Guardian Angel: Increases your HP by 50. Reduces damage by 20%. (Minimum level
required: 23).

Satan: Increases your Attack and Magic Attack(Skills/Spells) by 30%. Everytime
you hit one enemy you lose 3 HP. If you hit more than one enemy with the same
Skill or Spell, you still lose 3 HP for each enemy you hit. (Minimum level
required: 28).

Horn of Unir(l)ia: Allows your character to ride the weird monster Uniria.
Looks like a mix of unicorn and duck. Anyway, it increases your movement speed
and if you attack while riding it, it increases your agility by 30%. (Minimum
level required: 33).

Horn of Dinorant: It allows you to fly. It increases your damage by 15% and
reduces damage taken by 10%. Increases movement speed. Dark Knights can use
a skill with it named Raid. Can have several options as Increasing Agility.
(Minimum level required: 110).


4.3 Jewels
Jewels are the most expensive items of Mu. They are also used as currency.
Jewels can make lots of things. They are explained below.

Jewel Of Chaos: This is the most variable jewel and the easiest to find.
Looks like a yellow diamond(the shape, not the actual jewel).

Creates Chaos Weapons
Creates Wings
Creates +10 Items
Creates +11 Items
Creates Fruits(with Jewel of Creation)


Jewel of Bless: This is another easy to find jewel, harder than the Chaos,
though. looks like a Light Puple Jewel.

Levels up one item by 1 on levels 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Jewel of Soul: This is a so-so hard to find jewel. Looks like a Dark purple
jewel.

Levels up one item on all levels up to level 9.

Jewel of Life(*): Very hard to find. Looks like a squared, dark, gold jewel.

Increases an item's option by 1.

Jewel of Creation(*): The hardest of all jewels. Looks like a Bless and a Soul
together.

Creates Fruits(with Jewel of Chaos).


4.4 Special Items:
These are items different from the others. If an item is called Dropper,
you have to drop it to the ground and you may recieve an item or Zen.

Box of Luck: Dropper. May drop from 1000 to 5000 Zen. On a smaller chance,
it drops low level armors and weapons, from +4 to +6 level, and from +4 to +12
option, and they may have luck. This may also drop Horn of Unir(l)ia, and
Jewels, and painfully, it may also drop nothing.

Box of Kundum: Dropper. Has different levels(Kundum+1/2/3/4(*)/5(*)).
Kundum+1 may drop 5000 zen. +2 about 10000. +3 50000. +4 100000. +5 500000.
Kundums often drop Excellent Items(See below) or high level items.

Star of the Sacred Birth(*): Dropper. Drops many different items. Very rare
to drop Zen.

Heart of Love(*): Dropper.Zen amount varies widely. Drops high leveled items or
jewels.

Sack of Magic(*): Dropper on most Private servers. The Zen is equal to a year,
Like 2003 zen. Drops low leveled items or jewels.

Silver Medal(*): Drops items or Zen. Variable.

Gold Medal(*): Same as above, but better items and more Zen.

Blue Feather(*): Used to create 2nd Level Wings.

Box of Heaven(*): Drops 1k, Renas, Jewels or Items. Usually +5 items, and on
most Privates, only money.

Rena(*): Useless unless you get some kind of profit on the server you are
playing.

Bless Fragment(*): Also known as the chin/japanese stone. Useless too.


NOTE: Star of the Sacred Birth, Heart of Love, and Sack of Magic are supposed
to appear on certain dates. Most Private servers ignore them and they are on
all the time. Anyway, the Star should appear on Crhistmas, the Heart on
Valentine, and the Sack on New Year. Also, Olive of Love is also supposed to
appear on Valentines.

4.5 The Vault
The Vault is a place where you can store the items you find and you want to
save for later or for a friend. This Vault can be found on Lorencia, Noria and
Da(e)vias. You open it by clicking on the knight with the chest. Your vault
is about twice your inventory, and can hold any item but Quest items(See
below). You can't use items(potions, jewels) warp, or exit when your Vault is
open. You can also deposit and Withdraw Zen from it, and it can hold up to
999.999.999 Zen. This Vault service isn't free, but it isn't expensive either.
As you level up, the fee increases(Level 1: 1 Zen. Level 350: 4800).


5.Armors & Weapons
5.0 Levels and Additions:
This is one of the things that makes Mu intereasting. An item has it's own
levels. This levels are indicated by a + and a number next to the item. For
example:

Short Sword
No number means it's +0.

Short Sword+1
That +1 shows that this Short Sword is stronger than a Short Sword+0 but weaker
than a Short Sword+2. Got it?

By now, there are 11 levels. You can level up items by yourself with jewels.
Jewels may fail though, so be careful. Jewel of bless always has 100% chance
of working. Jewel of Soul has a 50% chance of Working, 75 if the item has luck
(see below). So, for the first 9 levels it works like this:

Short Sword(you can use a bless or soul to level it).
Short Sword+1(you can use a bless or soul to level it).
Short Sword+2(you can use a bless or soul to level it).
Short Sword+3(you can use a bless or soul to level it).
Short Sword+3(you can use a bless or soul to level it).
Short Sword+4(you can use a bless or soul to level it).
Short Sword+5(you can use a bless or soul to level it).
Short Sword+6(you can use a soul to level it).
Short Sword+7(you can use a soul to level it).
Short Sword+8(you can use a soul to level it).
Short Sword+9

Most people don't level up things over +6, as you may fail. When you fail with
a Jewel of Soul, if the item was +0 to +6, it goes down 1 level. If the item
was +7 or +8 it goes back TO ZERO. Scary, uh?

For +10 and +11, you have to make a Chaos Combination(See below). But if this
fails, your item dissapears. Even scarier.

Most items can be dropped by monsters at levels from 0 to 5, so don't worry.

But what's the point of leveling them up? The item gets stronger, but of course
needs more requirements.

Armors gain more Defense by level but need more Strength/Agility.

Weapons gain more Damage by level but need more Strength/Agility.

Shields gain more Defense and Defense rate by level but need more Strength/Agi.

Staffs gain more Damage and Magic Damage by level but need more Strength/Agi.

Pendants give you more evasion by level but need more levels.

Rings give you more protection by level but need more levels.

Also, if your gloves are +5 you swim faster and if your boots are +5 you run
faster.

One of the best things of higher level items, is that if you die, you can't
lose them. Yep, if you die, you may drop an item, unless the item is over +5.
As a side note, a +5 ring or +5 pendant or higher may still drop from you.

The color of the items change when they are higher level. Like this:

+1: The change almost can't be seen. Item glows darker and brighter.
+2: Like +1 but more noticeable.
+3: Item glows from dark red to bright-red.
+4: Same as +3 but glow lasts longer
+5: Item glows from dark blue to light-blue.
+6: Same as +6 but glow lasts longer
+7: A glow that depends on the item shines now and then.
+8: The same glow as +8 but shines longer.
+9: The glow covers the whole item and it's permanent.
+10: Item has the +9 glow but it shines as if the item is made of "plastic".
+11: Same as +10 but the second shine last longer.

If all your armor(Gloves, Pants, Boots, Armor and Helmet except on Gladiator
armors) is +10, some yellow balls will float around you if you stand still.

If all your armor is +11, the yellow balls will appear with some yellow lines
around you.

Additions:
Luck:
This addition comes with the weapon, shield or armor and can't be added.
If the item has Luck, when you use a Jewel of Soul on it, it increases the
chances of success, same with Chaos Combinations. When your character
attacks, s/he has a 5% chance of a critical attack by each item +luck s/he has.

Skill:
The weapons may also be dropped or sold with Skills attached to them.
If the weapon can be equipped by Elves, but the Skill is only for Dark
Knights or Magic Gladiators, she won't be able to use it. You can't add a Skill
to a Weapon.

Additional Damage: This addition, AKA Option, increases the Physical or Magic
Damage of a weapon. It increases by four, from 0 to 16. You can increase it
by Using a Jewel Of Life on it. It has a 50% chance of working, luck doesn't
affect it, and if it fails, it goes back to zero. For example, +16.

Additional Defense: This option is similar to Additional Damage, only that it
applies to Armors, and instead of being plus a definite number of defense,
it's a percentage of your total defense. It increases by four, from 0 to 16.
For example, +12%.

Additional Defense Rate: This applies to Shields. Increases your evasion. It
increases by five, from 0 to 20. For example, +15.

HP Recovery: Every five seconds, you'll get a percentage of your total HP back.
This option applies to Rings, Pendants and Wings, and unless you use bugs, you
can't increase it except for wings. This option increases by 1, from 0 to 4.
For example, +2%.

5.1 Excellent?
So, a +11+16+luck+skill would be the greatest weapon? Wrong. Items can go even
higher and not by levels, but by being completely new items. The excellent
items are dropped by monsters, but there is a very, very, very, very, very,
VERY small chance of that ever happening. Boxes of Kundum have a higher rate,
and on REAL numbers, so don't worry.

But what are these excellent items? First of all, their name is green. They
may have luck, additional damage/defense/rate/HP recovery or skill like any
regular item, BUT they hit/defend a lot stronger than the regular item.
For example:

Leather Armor+0: Defense:10. STR Requierment: 44

Excellent Leather Armor+0: Defense: 28. STR Requierement: 104

The closest defense to 28 is:

Plate Armor+0: Defense 30. STR Requirement: 207.

You see? You'll need the double STR to go over the excellent leather armor.

Also, their defense or damage is on blue numbers and letters instead of white.
In addition to their regular options, excellent items may also have other
options like:

-Increase damage +level/20: The increase is your level divided by 20.
-Increase damage +2%: The increase is 2% of your total damage.
-Excellent damage rate +10%: You have a 10% chance of hitting for 110% of your
max damage by each item with this option.
-Increase attack speed+7: Self-explanatory.
-Increase Life recovery after monster hunting+HP/8: Self-explanatory,
-Increase Mana recovery after monster hunting+Mana/8: Self-explanatory,
-Increase Zen after monster hunting +40%: You get 40% more Zen from monsters.
-Damage Increase+4%: Self-explanatory.
-Damage Decrease-4%: The same.
-Reflect Damage +5: 5% of the damage recieved goes back to the enemy.
-Additional Defense rate+10%: Self-explanatory.
-Increase HP +4%: Self-explanatory.
-Increase Mana +4%: Self-explanatory.


It's nearly immposible than an excellent item has all the options, usually it
has 1 to 3. Only the owner of the Server may create Excellent items with all
of them.

Now that we know all about items, let's see what you can wear and what you
can't. Note that "set" means Gloves, Pants, Boots, Armor and Helmet(except
on Gladiators).

5.2 Durability and Full Set

This are two little concepts applied to Equipements. Durability shows how
long it takes before the item breaks, meaning it dissapears. It takes really
long to lose 1 Durability, so don't worry. When you have 1/2 Durability of one
item, it shows up in yellow on the top-right corner. When it's 1/4, it shows
up in red. The place where the item is equipped also changes it's color. To
repair items, you can talk to the Blacksmith in Lorencia, the Crafstman in
Noria or the Weapon Merchant in Da(e)vias. If you are level 50 or higher, you
can repair your items on your inventory by clicking the repair icon and then
clicking on the item.

Full Set means wearing a complete Set. This is, wearing the Gloves, the Pants,
the Armor, the Boots and the Helmet of the same Set, for example, Dragon Set.
This gives you a 10% of additional defense rate. If your set is +10 you have
little yellow balls around you, and if it is +11, you also have yellow stripes
when you stand still. Magic Gladiators can only get the defense rate bonus
wearing the Unicorn and Thunder Sets, because these don't have a helmet, when
the Dark Knight's and the Dark Wizard's Sets do.

So, as you may see, everyone has different things to use. Anyone can equip
the Crystal Sword, but it's not really recomended, as there are better weapons
for your character's main power(Spells or Arrows).


6.The Only Goal
6.0 The evil Scroll of Emperor

Yeah, I know I said Mu doesn't have a goal. It has one, but a very small one.
I'm sure that every player on Global wonders what the **** is the Scroll of
Emperor. If you haven't played Mu yet, on Global, every time you open the
character menu, it says "Quest: Unfinished. Find Scroll of Emperor".
OK, first, let's explain this. You'll need three million Zen and a lvl 150
character. Note that every benefit(besides the stat points and the look) of
this quest can only be obtained on Private servers, as all the items and
skills were removed from the Global version.

6.1 Blade Knight

If you are a Dark Knight, talk to the lady(Priest Sevina) on Da(e)vias. She'll
ask for one million Zen to tell you a story(somewhat expensive, uh?). She'll
start talking about the lost Scroll of Emperor(Book of Kings on Private) and
it's ability to give great powers. Anyway, to find it, you have to search on
Dungeon 3, Lost Tower(1-2) and if available, Atlans. Enemies that can drop
it are Thunder Liches, Poison Bull Fighters, Dark Knights, Gorgons, Shadows,
Poison Shadows, Bahamuts(*), Vepars(*) and Valkyries(*). When you find it,
you'll get a little blue book:

Book of Kings/Scroll of Emperor:
Cannot be Traded
Cannot be Sold
Cannot be Stored

Now go back with Sevina. She'll talk a little, explaining a little of Mu's
storyline, and she'll give you ten stat points. Talk to her again, and she'll
now ask for two million to keep this game. She'll talk about three items: The
Lost Sword from warriors, the Soul of the Prophet of wizards, and the Elf Tear
from elves. As you are a Knight, you know what to look for. The place to find
this items is on Lost Tower(7) on Global, dropped by Death Gorgons and Balrogs.
If enabled, also on Tarkan by Mutants and Bloody Wolves and on Atlans by
Lizard Kings and Hydras. The sword looks like a little, white axe and it has
the same description that the book/scroll. Now go back with Sevina. She'll
give you ten more stats, and you'll become a Blade Knight!

As a Blade Knight, you can:
Use Death Stab and Hell Blast Skills.
Wear the Phoenix Armor.
Handle the Spirit Sword.
Dye your hair blonde or something similar.
Wear Devil Wings

6.2 Soul Master

Lizard Kings and Hydras. The soul looks like a frozen crown and it has
the same description that the book/scroll. Now go back with Sevina. She'll
give you ten more stats, and you'll become a Soul Master!

As a Soul Master, you can:
Cast the Mass Teleport Spell
Wear the Soul armor
Handle the Crystal Staff
Have a better haircut and a nice blue suit
Wear Archangel Wings


6.3 Muse Elf

If you are an Elf, talk to the lady(Priest Sevina) on Da(e)vias. She'll
ask for one million Zen to tell you a story(somewhat expensive, uh?). She'll
start talking about the lost Scroll of Emperor(Book of Kings on Private) and
it's ability to give great powers. Anyway, to find it, you have to search on
Dungeon 3, Lost Tower(1-2) and if available, Atlans. Enemies that can drop
it are Thunder Liches, Poison Bull Fighters, Dark Knights, Gorgons, Shadows,
Poison Shadows, Bahamuts, Vepars and Valkyries. When you find it, you'll get
a little blue book:

Book of Kings/Scroll of Emperor:
Cannot be Traded
Cannot be Sold
Cannot be Stored

Now go back with Sevina. She'll talk a little, explaining a little of Mu's
storyline, and she'll give you ten stat points. Talk to her again, and she'll
now ask for two million to keep this game. She'll talk about three items: The
Lost Sword from warriors, the Soul of the Prophet of wizards, and the Elf Tear
from elves. As you are an Elf, you know what to look for. The place to find
this items is on Lost Tower(7) on Global, dropped by Death Gorgons and Balrogs.
If enabled, also on Tarkan by Mutants and Bloody Wolves and on Atlans by
Lizard Kings and Hydras. The tear looks like a...tear(o_O) and it has
the same description that the book/scroll. Now go back with Sevina. She'll
give you ten more stats, and you'll become a Muse Elf!

As a Muse Elf you can:
Use the Ice Age skill.
Wear the Divine armor.
Handle the Shadow Crossbow, the Giant Bow and the Giant Crossbow.
Dye your hair even brighter and wear an amazon-like clothing.
Wear Butterfly Wings


6.4 Reset
On some Private servers, when you reach a certain level, you can reset your
character. This is often, go back to level 1, with the things you are wearing
and the stats you had. This is the only way to get Mana Shield to 100% or
higher. Anyway, some servers delete what you are wearing(so you have to store
it), don't give you your current points, and maybe they delete your abilities.
Pay attention to what kind of reset there is on the server you'd like to
reset. This is only for fun, as in most servers, reaching lvl 350, even 1000
is very easy. I'm almost certain you can't reset on Global(anyway, if you
are level 350 you should be very bored already), but the max level is 350, and
in Korean's Global, it's 400 I think.

7.Skills
Some skills names are messed by the game. I try to be as accurate as possible.

7.0 Attacking
Attacking in Mu is pretty easy. If you want to attack normally, Left-click
a monster, or Control+Click on a player. If you want to use a skill,
right-click a monster or Control+Right-click a player. Some skills like
Twisting Slash and Evil Spirit can be used without selecting a target, and
in this way you don't hit other players. When inflicting damage, this damage
may be 1 of four colors:

Orange: A regular attack

Blue: If you have at least one item plus the Luck option, for each of them you
get a 5% chance of hitting for full (max) damage when you shouldn't. This is
known as a Critical hit.

Green: If you have at least one Excellent item with the Excellent Damage rate
+10%, for each of them you get a 10% chance of hitting for 110% of your
regular damage. This is known as Excellent Damage.

Purple: If you have at least one Excellent item with the Reflect Damage +5%
option, for each of them you'll reflect a percentage of the damage you recieve
back to the aggresor. This works always unless the damage to reflect is less
than 0.

There is also a Yellow damage, but I don't know any way to get it but the way
explained on the Bugs section.

If you hit a monster or player and you hit for 0 or miss, the word Miss will
appear in a grey color. If they hit you for 0 or miss, the word Miss will
appear in a white color. When a monster, or sometimes a player, hits you, the
damage will appear in a red color.

One thing to remember is that, unless the opponent has a 100% Mana Shield,
you WILL hit him/her/it for at least 1 damage sometimes. In the same way,
regardless of how much defense you have, monsters will hit you for some damage
(less than 5) sometimes.


7.1 Dark Knight/Blade Knight:

-Turn Around Skill: The Character turns all around, moving the enemy further
away. Comes out very fast.
Mana: 9
Location: Weapons like Great Scythe.
Real name: Whirl Cut.
Range: 1 enemy.

-Hacking Skill: The Character jumps, and cuts the enemy downwards. Can be used
at a small distance. Somewhat Slow.

Location: Mostly Axes.

Real name: Hacking.

-Stabbing Skill: The Character pokes the enemy. Slow. May move the enemy
backwards.

-Uppercut Skill: The Character stabs the enemy, jumps and spins on the air.
Fast.

-Slashing Skill: The Character goes crazy, and hits the enemy very fast.

-Twisting Slash: The Character drops his weapon on the floor and it spins,

-Inner Strength(*): The user creates a yellow light that increases his HP and
everyone in the party if he is in any.

Location: Inner Strength Orb, dropped by Death Gorgons, Balrogs, and Great
Bahamuts.
Range: User and members on the party on the user's screen.
Real name: Light of Life.
Requirements: Level 120.

-Fury of Light(*): The user stabs the enemy with his spear surrounded by
a yellow thing that is supposed to be fire.

Location: Fury of Light Orb, dropped by Skeleton Archers, Hell Hounds, Hell
Spiders, Hommerds, Yeties and Elite Yeties.
Range: 1 Enemy.
Real Name:Fire Slash.
Requirements: Level 26. User must be riding a Unir(l)ia and must be using a
spear.

Raid: The user commands the Dinorant to attack the enemy.

Range: 1 Enemy.
Real Name: Spit Fire.
Requirements: The user must be riding a Dinorant.

-Defensive Skill: The Character covers with the shield, reducing damage taken.

-Blade Knight Only-

-Death Stab(*): The Character stabs the monster as a huge, razor wind blows
from somewhere to deal more damage to the enemy. Sometimes the enemy dies
with electricity around it's body.

Range: from one to three enemies on a same line.

-Hell Blast(*): The Character throws his weapon into the air, catches it and
stabs the floor, cracking it. The speed of this skill cannot be increased.

Energy he has.

7.2 Dark Wizard/Soul Master

-Energy Ball: The Character shoots a blue energy ball.

Location: Dark Wizards start with this spell.

Real Name: Energy Ball.

-Fireball: The Character shoots a fireball which is slower than the Energy
Ball.

-Power Wave: The Character releases a white wave of power.

-Flame: A fire pillar is summoned and it stays on it's place burning enemies

-Twister: The user summons a tornado that goes on a straight line hitting

-Evil Spirit: The user summons....Evil dragon spirits that strike all over the
screen. May hit the same enemy many times.

-Hell Fire: The coolest looking move of all. The user jumps, as his staff
incinirates, then he lands as the Mu symbol(that star) appears and it burns
on fire coming from the floor.

Range: About two characters's width around the user.
Real Name: Hellfire.

-Aqua Beam(*): The user...uh...Makes a Kame-Hame-Ha-like spell. It's the same
thing, a blue beam. Has to be charged for about two seconds.

Range: Aqua Beam Scroll. All the enemies on a line, about 1-4.
Real Name: Aquabeam.
Requirements: 345 Energy.

-Mana Shield(*): By far one of the best spells. The user creates a protective
shield which switches the damage into Mana loss by a small %. About every 100
stats added to any stat, it defends 1% more. Guess what happens when you reach
100%.....

7.3 Elf/Muse Elf

Summon Spells: These spells summon certain monsters to fight with you. They
have the same stats(HP/Attack/Attack Rate/Defense/ Defense Rate/ Level) as
the regular monster. Their HP is shown on the top-right corner. If you use the
spell again, the monster dissapears. Most of the time, your summon will attack
by itself, and if you attack a monster, it often switches it's attacks to your
target. You can buff(give attack and defense) to your summon if you have the
spells. There is no other way of modifying their abilities.


Goblin: Summons a Goblin.

8.Stats:
Stats are what shows how strong you are. You have four stats:
Strength
Agility
Vitality
Energy

But......which is more useful? Really, all help a little.

Strength: Almost certain that 1 stat increases 1 attack rate point, 3
increase max attack power and 4 increase minimum attack power for everyone.


Dark Knights/Blade Knights:
Increases attack power and attack rate. Allows the use of stronger weapons
and armors.

Dark Wizards/Soul Masters:
Increases attack power and attack rate. Allows the use of stronger weapons
and armors. Doesn't need too much for any.

Elves/Muse Elves:
Increases attack rate. Allows the use of stronger weapons and armors.
Increases attack power of all weapons but (Cross)Bows.

Magic Gladiators:
Increases attack power and attack rate. Allows the use of stronger weapons
and armors.


Agility: Almost certain it's 3 stats for 1 point of defense, and 2 for 1 point
of defense rate for knights. 4 stats for 1 point of defense, and 3 for 1 point
of defense rate for wizards. 6 stats for 1 point of defense, and 5 for 1 point
of defense rate for gladiators, and 10 stats for 1 point of defense and 8 for
1 point of defense rate for elves. 15 stats for 1 point of attack speed for
everyone.

Dark Knights/Blade Knights:
Increases defense, defense rate and attack speed. Allows the use of some
stronger weapons.

Dark Wizards/Soul Masters:
Increases defense, defense rate and attack speed. Allows the use of some
stronger weapons.

Elves/Muse Elves:
Increases defense, defense rate and attack speed. Allows the use of some
stronger weapons. Increases (Cross)Bow damage.

Magic Gladiators:
Increases defense, defense rate and attack speed. Allows the use of some
stronger weapons.

Vitality: Increases HP for everyone. Knights get 2 points of HP per level and
3 for each stat added to Vitality. Wizards get 1 point of HP per level and
1 for each stat added to Vitality. Gladiators get 1 point of HP per level
and 2 for each stat added to Vitality. Elves are the same as Wizards.


Energy: Knights get 0.5 points of Mana per level and 1 for each stat added
to Energy. Wizards get 2 points of Mana per level and 2 for each stat added
to Energy. Gladiators get 1 point of Mana per level and 2 for each stat added
to Energy. Elves get 1 point of Mana per level and 1.5 for each stat added
to Energy.

Dark Knights/Blade Knights:
Increases Skill damage and Inner Strength's HP increase. Increases Mana.

Dark Wizards/Soul Masters:
Increases Spell power. Increases Mana

Elves:
Increases Mana. Increases Healing, Defending and Attacking(buffing) power.

Magic Gladiators:
Increases Skill damage and Spell power. Increases Mana.



But...how much am I going to need of these stats to use the best stuff?

9.Maps:
In Mu, there are several maps with new monsters waiting to be slayed. But also
on some maps there are certain important places and the entrances to the other
maps. I have to admit I suck at ASCII very much, so I doubt I'll show maps,
but I'll try to help as much as I can. When you are inside the town, you can't
attack or be attacked, remember that. Some Private servers like to include
monsters inside the city, but they can't hit you unless the owner forgot to
make them stand still. I list the enemies in strength order, and at the end
of each map there is a list of all of them by now. Also, if you see an enemy
somewhere I didn't write about, it's because their spawning bugged a little,
they walked there, or I've mistaken(sorry).

9.0 Lorencia:
Lorencia is the place where all characters but Elves start. It has
a bar, two vaults, two peddlers, the potion girl, the blacksmith and Pasi the
wizard. It has the weakest monsters. The Gold Dragon may appear here(See below)
and it has the entraces to most maps: Noria, Da(e)vias, and Dungeon. Elves
need to be level 10 to access Lorencia, and every character has to be level 50
to warp here.

Overview:
You can find one peddler on the top-left corner. A little south and left of he
you can access to Da(e)vias. On the middle of the map, you can find the town.
Inside it, on the top left you can find Pasi the wizard who usually sells
wizard equipment and also, if you are a Murderer or Phonomaniac, he tells you
how long you have to wait to go back to normal. On the top-right you can
find the knight-equipment seller, the Blacksmith. On the middle, you can find
the bar. On both south corners you can find one vault. On the left exit, you
can buy potions from the potion girl, and on the south one, some beginner
equipment from the second peddler. Going a little north of the town you can
find the safe house(and another peddler on global) where you can rest. Walking
a little to the right, and a little to the North, you can find the entrance
to Dungeon(a snake head). On the bottom-right corner of the map you can find
the entrance to Noria. Inside the town you can lean on walls and sit on the
bar's tables.

9.1 Noria:
Noria is the place where Elves start. It's not a very big town. Everyone
but Elves need to be level 10 to acess this map. It's monsters are a little
stronger than Lorencia's but has less. Gold Dragon may appear here too. Also,
you have to be level 50 to warp here.

Overview: A little South of the middle of the map you can find the town.
On the top-right corner you can find Elf-Lala who sells armors. On the bottom-
right you can find the craftsman, AKA Yoda who sells Bows and Crossbows.
On the middle, you can find the Chaos Goblin, left of him, the vault, and
on Privates, North of him, Charon. At the South and North-West of the map
you can find little, hollow trees with mushrooms inside where you can sit. On
the town, there are flowers that make you float, and regain HP and mushrooms
next to Elf-Lala. On the South-West you can find the entrance to Lorencia
and on the East the entrance to Atlans(If Enabled).

9.2 Da(e)vias:
Davias(I like it more that way) is an invernal town. All of it is frozen. Also,
it’s the first map that is made of islands. If you die on Icarus or after
Blood Castle, you’ll go to this town. You can lean on walls or sit on chairs.
There are two castles which seem useless. Your character should be level 15 to
enter this map, and again, lvl 50 to be able to warp.

Overview:
The town is located on the south-west of the map. At the town’s bottom you can
find the bar, with a different barmaid. A little North of it you can find the
church, which has the Angel Messenger NPC to access the Blood Castle on Private
servers. At the upper corner of the town you can find a weapon shop. Also, at
the South you can find the Wizard selling stuff. At the Western and Eastern
parts of the map you can find a castle where you can sit, but there is nothing
inside it. At the bottom right, you can find the entrance to Lorencia, and at
the very North-East, the entrance to LostTower.

Enemies:
Since Da(e)vias is composed of islands, I'll separate the enemies by islands.

Island 1 is the area next to the town
Island 2 is the next area
Island 3 is the Western area(this one isn't really an Island. It's after
the Western castle).
Island 4 is the Eastern area
Island 5 is the North area

9.3 Dungeon(1-2-3):
Dungeon is a pretty extense map, and it's divided on three floors. For the
first floor, you have to be level 20 to access; 40 for the second and 50 for
the third, and to warp, you have to be level 50, 60 and 70 respectiviuosly. On
Private servers, you can't warp to Dungeon 1, but you can warp to Dungeon 2 at
level 50. Dungeons 1 and 2 also have traps on them to hit you ^^. If you die
on Dungeon, or use a Town Portal Scroll, you'll go to Lorencia.

Overview: Not much really. After all, Dungeon is like a maze. At the bottom
right(if we look at all of the three dungeons) is the entrance to Lorencia.
Then, there are dead ends, as well as the entrances to the next Dungeon.
Dungeon 3 has two entrances, one at the top and one to the right. If you warp
you'll appear on the North one.

Enemies & "Walktrough":
Dungeon 1:
You'll appear facing South-West. Walk on that direction until you find a wall.
On all that area you'll find Skeletons. Near that wall, there is a room. On it
there are Larvas. Go North, then East, then North again to exit this room. Now
go West, and South and you'll find another room. You'll find Cyclops here. Keep
going East, and then South, West you'll find the first trap, the Fire hole
(shoots fire when you go close to the wall). Keep going West and you'll find
a floor similar to the Larva room's. Here is another trap, the spikes(when you
step on the tile, spikes will come out and hit you if you stand still). Here
you'll find Ghosts. Keep heading West, then South, Then East, then North. If
you keep going North, you'll find a small dead end with spikes on it's
entrance and a Skeleton Archer and a Ghost inside. Keep heading West, and then
go South. Keep heading South and you'll find a small path. Follow it but be
careful of the spikes. After that, keep heading South all along. On the way
you'll find the second Skeleton Archer. Afterwards, go East, then North, West
and South and you'll find another room which has Skeleton Archers on it. On
it's entrance and in the middle of it you'll find a disc trap(The wall shoots
a disc to you if you walk close to it). Then keep heading south, and you'll
find Cyclops with the last Skeleton Archer. Go West, and at last, you'll find
the Entrance to Dungeon 2.


Dungeon 2:
You'll appear facing South-West again, and inside a room with some Cyclops.
Now go North, and you'll find a little bridge. Follow it, and you'll find a
Ghost. Keep walking and there will be a Disc trap. Some more steps and you'll
find a large room with about four Skeleton Archers, a Ghost, and about four
Hell Hounds, usually on their jails. After this room, keep heading North, and
you'll find an area with a hole inside. Here there are about three Hell Hounds
and 3-4 Skeleton Archers. Still going North, you'll find Hell Hounds and
Skeleton Archers until you find a wall. Now go West a little then South, then
West again. If you go south, you'll find a small room with two Elite Skeletons
on it. If not, keep heading West, and you'll find Hell Hounds and Fire hole
traps. Now go South, where a Hell Spider, Hell Hounds, and a Skeleton(WTF?)
are waiting. Keep heading South, and then East, then South again. This is a
long hall with Hell Spiders, and several Disc traps. After that, you'll find
a Fire hole trap, and another hall like the previous one. Keep heading South
and you'll see an arch, and after it, two Elite Skeletons. Go ahead and then
walk West. Here there are some Elite Skeletons and a Thunder Lich. Move on
and you'll find a large corner with coffins, and Ghosts, Skeleton Archers,
Elite Skeletons and Thunder Liches. Now go North, avoiding the Thunder Liches
and a Poison Bull Fighter. Go around the wall killing more Poison Bulls, and
you'll be in a room with Bulls and a Thunder Lich. Going North there is a hall
full of Fire hole and Disc traps, and after it, Thunder Liches and Elite
Skelies. Go North trough the Elite Skeleton hall, and when you find a wall, go
West(NOTE: If you go around this wall, then right, you'll find a room known
as Bullroom. Here, three Poison Bulls are located and they respawn extremely
fast). Go north trough the dark hall, ignoring the Skelies and Thunder Liches.
After that, there is a small bridge labyrinth, with Spike traps and Thunder
Liches. At the end of it, you'll find both Dungeon 3 gates.

Dungeon 3:
Dungeon 3 is a small, squared room, so it doesn't need a walktrough. Enemies
all around, but Gorgons usually are located on corners. The enemies are
Thunder Liches, Poison Bull Fighters, Dark Knights and Gorgons. Also, but not
often, Elite Skeletons may appear here too.

9.4 Lost Tower(1-2-3-4-5-6-7)
Lost Tower is all in one map really. It's composed of 7 small labyrinths, but
nothing too complex really. Instead of doors trough them, there are small
"teleporters" or similar things, that once you go trough, you can't go back.
Between Lost Tower 1 and 2, there isn't a door or teleporter, but you can find
a Safe Area to relax, and if you die, you'll go here(yes, you have to go all
the way again if you die on Lost Tower 7). You can only warp to odd Lost
Towers(1, 3, 5, and 7) and if you warp to Lost Tower 1, you'll appear on the
Safe Area. This map also has traps, but only one, the Meteor trap. This is
a very painful trap. If you step on the different tiles, a very large area
is hit by meteors, even the other characters around you. This map also has
the only access to Icarus. Also, this map has the second strongest monster on
Global, Balrog(c). To access this tower, you have to be level 80 for the first
floor, 100 for the fifth floor and 110 for the seventh floor. To warp, you
need to be level 90/110/130 respectiviously.

Overview: Nothing really to explain. The entrance to Icarus is near the top-
left corner of Lost Tower 7.

Enemies and "Walktrough":

Lost Tower 1: Walk along this little bridge, avoiding Shadows, and you'll find
a large area(the largest of all the Lost Towers). Go South, but don't go away
from this wall. When you can't go South anymore, follow the wall, and go South
to find the Safe Area. Now, go back to the bridge and go straight forward.
When you find a wall, go South, then North-West. On this long hall you'll find
Shadows as well as Poison Shadows.

Lost Tower 2: Lost Towers get easier now. Go North, then South-West. Poison
Shadows and Cursed Wizards are the only things that may stop you.

Lost Tower 3: Go North, then East. Easy. Death Cows and Cursed Wizards
are waiting.

Lost Tower 4: Same as Lost Tower 3, but with Death Cows and Devils.

Lost Tower 5: Go South. Hard, uh?. Devils and Death Knights here.

Lost Tower 6: Go North, then West. There are little, useless walls to annoy
you, and also Devils, Death Knights and Death Gorgons.

Lost Tower 7: This is easy, just go on Zig-Zag(Right and Left, and Right, and
Left, etc. if you didn't know) until you find a bridge. Cross it and you'll
find a squared area with fake teleporters. There are Devils, Death Knights,
and Death Gorgons before the bridge, and the same monsters, plus Balrog(c)
after it.

9.5 Atlans
The first map not included on Global. This underwater world has a great design
on the effects. You cannot use an Unir(l)ia or a Dinorant on this map. You
need to be level 60 to enter and 70 to warp here. Your character uses his
legs to swim, and if you have gloves of level +5, s/he will use his/her arms
too. Atlans has a small Safe Area where you will appear if you die or warp.
This map also has the most annoying monster combination: The freezing Silver
Valkyrie, and the Lighting-attack monster, Lizard King.


Overview: Some Private servers like to include a Potion girl or similar on
the Safe Area. This map is also on a zig-zag design. On the top-left you can
find the entrance to Noria, and at the top-right corner, the door to Tarkan.

Enemies:
Near the town you can find Bahamuts and Vepars. A little North and when going
South, there are Valkyries. After several Valkyries, you will found a Silver
Valkyrie, and then, Great Bahamuts with Valkyries. Afterwards when going North
again, there are Great Bahamuts, Silver Valkyries, Lizard Kings and Hydras.
If you head to the North-West, you will find more Great Bahamuts with a few
Silver Valkyries. If you go straight to the North, you'll find G. Bahamuts,
S. Valkyries and Lizard Kings with a few Hydras. And if you go North, then
East, you'll find Silver Valkyries and Lizard Kings.

9.6 Tarkan:
I've heard that Tarkan means "Desert of Death" on some language. Anyway,
that's what it is, a desert. It has some stone statues of....old heroes I
guess, and monuments of hands. Lava also flows around this map, but it's only
decoration. You need to be level 120 to enter this map and 140 to warp.

Overview: Should a desert have something? Again, some severs like to include
a Potion girl on the Safe Area at the bottom-left corner of this map. This
Safe Area is bigger than it should be, as it's composed of two islands.
Then the map is divided on one large island, a smaller one, and two even
smaller ones. Let's call island 1 to the one closest to the Safe Area, island
2 to the medium one on the middle of the map, island 3 to the Northernmost one
and island 4 to the Eastern Island.

9.7 Icarus:
This is the ultimate map, so if you can't handle the monsters, it's OK. It's
home of the strongest monster, the Phoenix of Darkness. This map is based
on the sky over Mu, so guess what, you not only need to be level 180 to enter
this place, but also, you need to wear Wings, or at least a Horn of Dinorant.
You can't take them out so don't ask me if you can fall. Icarus is, again
a zig-zag shaped map. You can't warp here by some weird reason(some Private
servers may change their configuration to allow this).

Overview: ...nothing really. May have a Potion girl at the entrance. This map
doesn't have a Safe Area.

9.8 Etc.
Yes, there are a few more maps, but this aren't really important ones:

Stadium: This map is a small stadium. The only way to access it is by warping.
You can warp from level 50. If you warp, you'll be outside the stadium, and
the only thing you can do is buy from the Stadium Guard which is no one but
the Potion girl with a different skin(appearance). If you want to play a
soccer match, read the Guild section. Also, as you can only escape by warping,
some servers like to force Phonomaniacs to move here. As they can't escape,
they have to wait, or negotiate with friends to get Town Portal Scrolls.

Stadium/Arena/Losttown: This map is actually the real Stadium's backstage.
This map is optional, and it can contain any enemy the owner of the server
desires. This map is similar to Stadium, only that it has grass, and pens
that you can't enter without using Teleport or asking a Soul Master to Mass
Teleport you. Some are available to enter normally, tough. On the Eastern side
you can find a grassy area without pens for the other characters. This map
has four exits available, but not all of them have to be open. One is on the
top corner. Most of the time it connects to Dungeon 3's right door. The other
one is on the middle of the North side, usually connecting to the regular
Stadium. The next exit is located on the North-eastern side, on a straight
line to the first one. Usually, it leads to Atlans' gate to Noria. The last
one connects to Tarkan's hole on Island 4, and it's located on the bottom of
this map.


Icarus 2:
This map is similar to Icarus, but it doesn't have walls, or clouds. It's a
plain sky with the dragons flying below and the stars on it. Monsters that
are usually here are Metal Balrog(c)s, Giant Drakans, and several Phoenixes,
but again, it depends on the server's owner. The usual access to this map is
where Icarus connects to Lost Tower 7.


A place of Exile: I have seen this map only twice, and each of them it was
a different thing. The first one was a gray floor, with a black sky, which
shaked on a strange way. It had all of Icarus monster's and Cursed Kings. The
other time, I saw a small place with shallow water, where Balies, Soldiers,
Dinorants, and Sea Worms were your enemies. The access to the first one was
trough Atlans' access to Noria and the second one was near Lorencia's ship
yard, near Noria's entrance. I haven't seen a stable map of this place.

10.Grouping:
Let's take a break of this annoying monsters and go back to the concepts.

10.0 Party:
This of course, doesn't mean a celebration. Party is when you group up with
some people to kill some monsters. Parties can be from 2 to 5 members of any
Class. To create a party, you need to be at least level 6, then type /party on
someone to prompt to join, but to join to a party, you only have to wait for
it's creator to join you in the same way. If the other player is 120 levels
higher or lower than you, they can't be in the same party. If there is a big
difference between the levels among the members, the experience decreases, but
if they are all similar, it increases. Of course, if you need to make a party,
you don't want to waste the experience, so Mu has an experience sharing
system. Here is a little chart from the Philippines server explaining this.
Also, if there are at least one Knight, one Wizard and one Elf, experience
increases even more and this % is indicated between brackets:

10.1 Guild
What is a Guild?
Basically a group, more like a team which you can belong to. To create a Guild
you need have a certain level (100 on Global, 180 is default on Private) and
then, go to Da(e)vias. There, speak to the guy wearing Black Dragon set named
"Guild Master" on the middle of the town. He'll ask if you want to be a Guild
Master. Of course agree. You can name your Guild and make a small avatar for
your members. When you finish, your name will have your Guild's name before it
and your character will have it's avatar on his/her right arm.

If you want to Join an existing Guild, you have to find the Guild Master of
that Guild(not any member) and type /Guild while pointing him/her with the
cursor. If s/he agrees, you are in!

When you speak, usually you and your Guild will see your messages and your
name in a light-green color. You can chat with your them on private by typing
an @ before your message, and it will show up as a green dialog. If you are
the Guild Master, and you need your Guild to know something(like, I'll be on
holydays), type @> and your message and it'll stay there until you change it.

If you want to check who is online and on which server, press the G key or
click the two swords on the bottom-right corner of the screen. On this menu,
the Guild Master's name is covered with blue and has the avatar next to it.
If you want to leave the Guild or disolve it(Guild Master only), press the X
next to your name.

Now, the fun part about Guilds, is that if you are the Guild Master. you can
challenge other Guilds in two ways. One is a Guild War, and the other one is
a Soccer Fight. For a Guild War type /war [name of the rival Guild]. Your
members and the opposing Guild's will be able to kill each other without
getting a Muderer or Phonomaniac status. After 10 kills, the winner will be
declared and your Guild will win a point. For a Soccer Fight, type
/battlesoccer [name of the rival Guild]. Both Guild Masters will warp to the
regular Stadium and you'll find an unmobile enemy that can't attack named
Soccer. You know what to do. Hit this thing all the way to the enemy goal.
Each goal scores 20 points. The first to reach 100 wins. You can also kill an
opponent, without getting a Murderer or Phonomaniac status, and score 2 points.
To allow other members of the Guild to play, you have to Party them before
going to Stadium. Up to 4 extra members may participate.


11.Events:
Mu also has another fun thing to do, the Events. This events happen every now
and then, and all involve killing monsters. On Global, Blood Castle and Devil
Square are disabled, and you can only have half of the fun of Golden Invasion.
Some Private servers also like to improvise events, like Unir(l)ia racing,
Find this item, or player, Question and answer, etc.

11.0 Blood Castle:
For this event, you need to wait until Blood Castle opens and you need to have
an item called Invisible Cloak. This item can be created by Chaos Combination.
If you right-click it, it says how much is left for the Blood Castle to open.
Even if you don't have it, a message saying "Blood Castle will close in #
minutes" should appear when it opens. When it's available, go to Da(e)vias'
church and speak to the Angel Messenger. Choose your Blood Castle level and
you will lose the Invisible Cloak. You'll appear on a small island with two
angels facing to a bridge, a fallen angel, and another one that is helping
this one. If you speak to the fallen angel, he'll ask you to go for his
weapon and he'll reward you. Blood Castle has 6 different levels, and you'll
need the correct Invisible Cloak too, like Invisible Cloak +5. Each floor is
for different level gaps so high-level players don't abuse.
Blood Castle 1: level 15-80
Blood Castle 2: level 81-130
Blood Castle 3: level 131-180
Blood Castle 4: level 181-230
Blood Castle 5: level 231-280
Blood Castle 6: level 281-350(or 1000 on some privates)

This event consists on running trough this bridge, killing the monsters that
appear, which by the way aren't few. Don't worry if you arrive a little late,
as the bridge is locked until Blood Castle's gate closes, and also, you have
one minute to set up things after this. The amount of monsters to kill is
40 for each player on the event. Only 15 players can enter, so this amount
goes from 40 to 600 monsters. When all of them are eliminated, at the end of
the bridge you'll find a door which you can hit. Do so, and enter the next
area. For each player that stayed alive when the door was destroyed, you have
to kill two Spirit Sorcerers. When they all die, a Crystal Statue will appear,
holding the Angel's weapon. Break it and take it. If you couldn't take it,
don't worry, but if you did, you can go all the way back and give it to the
Angel, and he'll give you two Jewels of Chaos for your effort(This will finish
the event, so if you want to train, wait). Anyway, that weapon changes from
time to time, and it's either a Dragon Sword, Dragon Staff or Giant Crossbow,
always excellent with full options. You have 15 minutes to complete the quest,
unless you or someone give the weapon to the Angel. After this time, you have
about one more minute to pick up items, and then, you'll appear on Da(e)vias,
but regardless if you gave the weapon to the Angel, if someone did, you get
some free experience after the event.

11.1 Devil Square
Like Blood Castle, you need an item to enter this event, but this time it's
the Devil Invitation, also created by Chaos Combination. This item can also
tell how long you have to wait to enter, but anyway, the server says when
there are 15, 10, and 5 minutes left to enter, and then you have 5 more
minutes to crawl in. To enter, go with Charon on Noria. Devil Square is a
small room. On one side you can find Orcs and on the other one, warriors
wearing plate armor and a Berdysh. When it closes, you have 20 minutes to kill
as many monsters as you can. Every 5 minutes, monsters change. There are 4
squares, similar to the 6 Blood Castles. This event doesn't really have a goal
but leveling up. Each square is for different level gaps so high-level players
don't abuse.

11.2 Golden Invasion:
Golden Invasion happens on Global every 24 hours. On Private, it depends on
it's configuration. When it happens, you'll only get a message saying *[Town]
Golden Dragon Invasion!*. This [Town] can be either Lorencia, Noria or
Da(e)vias. On that city, huge Gold Dragons will hover on the sky spiting
fireballs(they can't hit you) and the sky goes really dark until they are
killed. Some unique monsters appear on this event on certain maps:

Golden Budge Dragon:
Lorencia/Noria/Da(e)vias(doesn't depend on the event, it's random). Drops
Box of Luck.

Golden Goblin:
Noria/Lorencia. Drops Box of Kundum+1

Taikan & Golden Soldiers(drop similar items to Dungeon3's monsters):
Da(e)vias. Drops Box of Kundum+2.

Golden Dragon:
Lorencia/Noria/Da(e)vias(depends on event). Drops Box of Kundum+3.

Golden Titan & Golden Troops(Drop zen):
Atlans. Drops Box of Kundum+4

Golden Lizard & Golden Tantaros(Drop similar items to Iron Wheels)
Tarkan. Drops Box of Kundum+5

NOTE: Golden Titan, Golden Lizard, and their friends aren't available on
Global as their maps aren't available.

It's hard to tell where they'll appear, especially the Budge Dragon and the
Goblin.

Usually, the Golden Dragon is around Lorencia's town, On the middle of Island
2 in Da(e)vias, and in Noria's North-West area(near the swamps). The Gold
Titan is near all Silver Valkyries, and the Golden Lizard is often on the
middle of Island 1, On the middle of Island 2, and on the entrance to Island
4.




12.Chaos Combination
If you wanted to know what's the most annoying part of this game, you've just
found it. Chaos Combination is a process where you combine certain items to
create one. On most of this combinations, the Jewel of Chaos is used, and most
of the time only one is enough. If you want to go ahead, do it. Go with the
Chaos Goblin(weird foreign characters on Global) on Noria. He'll prompt two
types of Combinations: Chaos Extension Combination and Chaos Weapon
Combination. Here is a list of all of them and what they produce. First is
the name of the combination, then the items need. Success rate means how big
is your chance of success with the items and how you can increase it.

Chaos Weapon Combination:
If it fails, the item used lowers it's level, and options may be reduced or
lost.
-Chaos Weapon:

Items needed: any item +at least 4 levels +at least 4 option +1 Jewel of Chaos
+Zen(changes as success rate does).

Success rate: Depends on the item. A Pad armor isn't the same as a Legendary.
You can level the item higher, add more options, use an item with luck, add
more Jewels of Chaos(+2%>_>), Blesses or Souls(5% I think).

Result: Chaos Dragon Axe, Chaos (Lighting) Staff, Chaos Nature Bow. This are
the strongest weapons on Global. This result is totally random.


Chaos Extension Combination:
If it fails, all items used are lost.

-Devil Invitation(+1+2+3+4)

Items needed: 1 Devil Eye + 1 Devil Key of the same level (+1, +2, +3 or +4)
+1 Jewel of Chaos(unless both items are +1)+Zen(10k for +1, 20k for +2, 40
for +3, 70 for +4).

Success rate: 60%

Result: Devil Invitation(+1, +2, +3 or +4)

-Invisible Cloak(+1+2+3+4+5+6)

Items need: 1 Blood Fang + 1 Blood Scroll of the same level(+1, +2, +3, +4, +5
or +6) +1 Jewel of Chaos(unless both items are +1 or +2)+Zen(still looking for
how much).

Success rate: 80%

Result: Invisible Cloack(+1, +2, +3, +4, +5 or +6)

-+10 Item

Items needed: +9 item + 1 Jewel of Chaos + 1 Jewel of Bless + 1 Jewel of Soul

Success rate: Almost certain it's 60% without luck, 75 with it.

Result: +10 Item with the same options as the +9 item used.

-+11 Item

Items needed: +10 item + 1 Jewel of Chaos + 2 Jewel of Bless + 2 Jewel of Soul

Success rate: Almost certain 50% without luck, 65 with it.

Result: +11 Item with the same options as the +10 item used.

-Dinorant

Items needed: 10 FULL(255 HP) Horn of Unir(l)ia + 1 Jewel of Chaos + Zen(500k)

Success rate: 70%

Result: Horn of Dinorant

-Fruit

Items needed: 1 Jewel of Creation + 1 Jewel of Chaos + Zen(a lot, still
unsure of how much)

Success Rate: 90%

Result: Strength Fruit, Stamina Fruit, Agility Fruit, Energy Fruit

-Wings

Items needed: Chaos weapon + at least 4 levels + at least 4 option + 1 Jewel
of Chaos + Zen

Success Rate: Like Chaos Weapon Combination, depends on the item's level and
options. If you can't increase the item's level or options, you can use an
excellent item with a regular option(additional attack/defense/rate/HP
recovery).

Result: Angel Wings, Satan Wings, Fairy Wings(Random)

-2nd Class wings

Items needed: 1st Class Wings(Angel, Satan or Fairy) + 1 Jewel of Chaos + 1
Blue Feather

Success Rate: Depends on the Wings options and levels. About from 50 to 90%.

Result: Archangel Wings, Devil Wings, Butterfly Wings, Dark Wings(Random)



But what are this items anyway? You can't find this items anywhere else, so
you have something unique. I think you should already know what +10 and +11
items are, but for the rest:

Chaos Weapon: The strongest weapons on Global. This weapons may pop out with
some levels, options or skills attached. Chaos Dragon Axe has the Slashing
Skill if you wonder.

Devil Invitation: Allows you to enter the Devil Square event, and also lets
you know how much it's left for the next opening of it.

Invisible Cloack: Same as Devil Invitation, but with the Blood Castle event.

Dinorant: Explained on Guardians section. The horn of Dinorant always has the
Raid skill attached, but may have other options.

Strength Fruit: May increase your Strength stat by 1-3 points.

Agility Fruit: May increase your Agility stat by 1-3 points.

Stamina Fruit: May increase your Vitality stat by 1-3 points.

Energy Fruit: May increase your Energy stat by 1-3 points.

Satan Wings: Increases defense by (20 + wings' level times 3)%
Increases attack by 1 + wings' level times 2
Increases speed
Minimum level required: 180 + wing's level times 4

Angel Wings: Increases defense by (10 + wings' level times 3)%
Increases attack by 1 + wings' level times 2
Increases speed
Minimum level required: 180 + wing's level times 4


Fairy Wings: Increases defense by (10 + wings' level times 3)%

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are wearing 2nd Class wings(Devil, Archangel, Butterfly
or Dark), you'll lose 3 HP every time you hit a target(like wearing a Satan).





13.Misc:

13.0 Hints & tips:

Finding Jewels: Try not to do it. This is the best way. If you spend all the
day trying to find it, you'll get pissed faster. There is no way of finding
jewels faster. Monsters that drop Jewels of Chaos are stronger than Liches.
Monsters that drop Jewels of Bless and Soul are stronger than Yeties. Monsters
that drop Jewels of Life are stronger than Iron Wheels. Monsters that drop
Jewel of Creation are stronger than Tantallos.

Trading: First of all, DO NOT show the items you are wearing. NEVER. Look at
the hacks section. Next, DO NOT trade quickly. Look at what you are doing
unless you know the other player really well. Don't scam. Don't fool beginners
or dumb people. If you feel that someone is fooling you, don't accept. Try
to save Jewels for higher-level sets(Dragon/Legendary/Guardian+3 or higher).

Training: Always have spare Potions, or Arrows. NEVER kill a player for a
spot, instead, ask politely if s/he is leaving. If you think you've trained
for a long time, leave other players that place. Try finding places where
monsters spawn in packets of three, like the Bullroom.

General: Don't store crap. Don't be rude. DON'T HACK. Don't break the server's
rules. If it says "minimum level required" it doesn't mean that you are ready
at that level. Don't try to kill something/one you can't. Click with both
mouse buttons on stats, and it'll click faster. Right-click items to move them
to vault.


13.1 Frequent Problems:

Blurry text: Fix your resolution on the client.

"You are disconnected from server" on the boats screen: Server is off.

Button doesn't appear on the boats screen: Server doesn't exist yet.

"Sever is full": Wait. >_>.

"You are disconnected from server" when choosing a subserver: Still unknown.

"Please Wait" bar never stops: You were disconnected from server or server is
slow.

"Loading" screen lasts forever: Same as above.

Game stops for some time, then everything happens all togheter: The data
transference between you and the server is slow. This is known as "lag".

"Item is copied" message: This happens when you have two items created by
either a duplicating Hack, or bug, on the same place(Inventory, or Vault).
You can't use any of them anymore. Sorry.

"You are disconnected from server" as soon as your character appears: close
other applications that may slow down your connection, as your Internet
browser, Instant Messengers, etc. Sometimes even Winamp has this effect.


13.2 Hacks
I WON't give information on how to hack, where to get programs, etc. I'll only
give a list of known ways to hack Mu so if you spot a Hacker you report him or
her. Anyway, as thieves, or diseases, it's imposible to live(or play) without
them, but less of them certainly would help.

1 Hit Hack: Basically, it sends a lot of hits to the same monster, instead of
one, to the server, lagging it pretty bad. Characters using this move in a
really strange way.

Speed Hack: Increases attack speed, similar to above. Most servers have a
attack speed limit that disconnects anyone excedding it so don't worry.

Trade Hack: This one is something on Global. Basically, you can agree on both
parts of the trade. This is why I recommend you not to show your items.

Dupe Hack: Duplicates items. You know, blessing everything you get is pretty
neat, but still is hacking.

Shadow items: This one is harmless really. It just changes the description of
the item you want, but makes it invisible, and you can't move it.

Teleport Hack: Basically moves you anywhere you want. Harmless. I rather
consider it useful, but teleporting to an event would be cheating. I mean
it's useful if you are training at a map's specific place which is hard to
get to.


13.3 Bugs:

"Decaying Wizardy" bug: Basically, if you go over 550 attack speed with a
Dark Wizard/Soul Master or Magic Gladiator, instead of hitting faster, your
spells will take extremely long to work, and will activate once, then wait,
then the spell. This is called "losing" a spell. The first one lost, and
the most popular is the Evil Spirit. If you exceed a lot, the last spells to
lose are the Aqua Beam and Hellfire.

Speed Bug: I haven't been able to use this one yet. I've heard you have to
pick-up a potion on your inventory, drop it and VERY fast, double-click your
weapon. You always hit faster with your hands that with your weapon, but
with less power. This bug is supposed to combine the speed of your hands with
the power of your weapon. If you want to fix this bug, exit and connect again.

Arrow Bug: This has only happened to me with Elves on Global. If you are
hitting a monster with arrows, and it goes behind a wall, or out of your
screen(for example, moved by a Knight's Skill, or Lighiting Spell), you will
disconnect. On Private your Elf usually walks to where the enemy is moved and
keeps shooting.


Bless Bug: This bug can only be activated by the server's owner. To do it,
the durability of the Jewel(or devil invitation in some cases) has to be 255.
Then, you just buy it and sell it. You'll buy it for a cheaper price than you
sell it = profit.


Shadow Bug: This is the best, and most abused bug of all. This isn't
considered cheating. Make sure you can buy jewels or else this is pointless.
If the server doesn't allow it, DON'T DO IT. It's hard to explain without
being next to you, but anyway:

1. Have one item, and enough space to move it one "square" left. This item
can't be a Potion, Jewel, Ring, Quest item, or Pendant.
2. Be able to warp
3. Open your inventory and pick up the item. Hover it one "square" left.
4. Type /move [anymap].
5. Now quickly drop the item and at the same time hit Enter to warp.
6. After warping, your item should be safe, but you'll have a blank space next
to it.
7. Take out your item and put any item you want on the left side of the blank.

Now, what can this be used for? Basically, you can level up anything you can't
normally. Note that you can't make this items +10 or +11 anyway, and also,
+5 or higher items blessed this way may still be dropped when you die.

Magic Crossbow bug: The Giant Crossbow is a really weird weapon. If you want
to use it, you don't have to use Bolts. Yes, it's free! The problem is that
you can only use the regular attack and the Ice Age skill without arrows. If
you try using ammo, the Crossbow will become useless completely.

Party zen bug: This happens on some Private servers that have high experience.
Usually, you don't need a lot of zen on these, as Bless Bug is often enabled,
so the owner doesn't fix it. This bug reduces the amount of Zen dropped by
monsters to the amount you'll get on Global, ignoring the formula that dropped
Zen has(experience from monster+7).

Potion Bug: again, only on some Privates. As most Privates like selling
potions in larger packets(like 255), the game goes crazy, and when you log in
again, you only have packets of 3. This one can be fixed too.

Stats bug: This is pure evil. Of course, this bug won't happen to you too
often if you play on a server with less than 1000 experience. But if your
server is above the 7000s, then worry. The max stats you can have are 32767
on each of the 4. If you go over this, you stat becomes negative. This means:

More than 32767 Strength: You'll hit for 0 damage to everything. Even spiders.
More than 32767 Agility: Anything can kill you in 1 hit and you can't attack.
More than 32767 Vitality: If you increase your HP to 0 or more, you die.
More than 32767 Mana: You can't use skills, spells or sorceries.

HP and Mana bug: This one is similar to the above. If for any reason, be it
Stats or an Excellent items' option, you have more than 65536 HP or Mana, it
will go back to 0, then start again. This can be fixed by reaching this number
and not leveling anymore.

Walking Corpse bug: This happens often on servers with Lag(slow transference
between your computer and the server). If you were attacking a monster or
player, and you died exactly when the lag happened, your character will walk/
fly/ride/run to the place you died, going trough walls, pits, or anything.

Rainbow attack bug: This happens on extremely high experience servers. If you
hit for more than 32767 damage to an enemy, your attack's color(orange) may
change. I think it goes first yellow, then purple as reflect damage, then
green as excellent damage, and finally blue. These other colors represent
how much you hit plus 32767. So, if you hit see yellow damage for 17233, you
are actually hitting for 50000 damage.

Large Weaponary bug: I don't really know if there is a requirement to archieve
this. Anyway, when you use the Twisting Slash skill, sometimes the weapon
on the floor may differ from yours. This doesn't decrease the damage, and
the other players can't see it.

13.4 Programs:
There are a few useful, not harming programs to use when playing Mu. This
are some I often use:

Launcher 2.0: Found on most new Private servers. It's better than the original
because it looks nicer, you can have a shortcut to that server's homepage and
other related sytes, know if the server is online, ping host(how much is the
delay between your computer and the server's) and you can handle multiple
versions.

Klick0r: Useful program for really high experience servers. This little thingy
works on the background, and clicks about 75 times per second. The stats
buttons aren't clicked that fast, but anyway, it keeps your mouse smooth. I've
heard it bugs Windows to do this, but I haven't got any problems on several
computers I've used it.

Minimizer: Minimizes Mu. Maybe you didn't know, but if you minimize Mu 3 times
in any way(CTRL+ESC, an Internet window that auto refreshes, etc) it closes.
With this program you can play it on a window instead of full screen, without
fear of clicking outside. You can't use it on Global :(.

14.Blessing Results:
Now that you know the Shadow Bug, allowing you to bless anything you want,
what would happen if you bless a certain item? If on a result it says "your
inventory gets bugged", it means that using that jewel is immposible, and you
can't use your inventory unless you log out. Most of the time, this happens
with Jewels of Life. Avoid them unless it may have an effect.

Potion(Healing, Mana, Antidote):
Levels up, changing color as normal(Healing potions get orange, mana get
purple, and antidotes yellow). It also reduces the size of the potion packet,
for example, if you start with 255, you'll have 188 potions +1. Recovery from
Healing and Mana pots increases.

Love Charm: Levels up as normal(gets yellow). Effect doesn't increase.

Alcohol: Alcohol +2 morphs into Olive of Love. The other 8 are as normal, and
the effect doesn't increase.

(Town portal Scroll):

Pendants: Level up, increasing elemental defense(get yellow and need more
level). With Jewel of Life, it increases HP recovery up to +4%. Try to add one
more and you'll bug.

Rings: Level up, increasing status resistance(get yellow and need more level).
With Jewel of Life, it increases HP recovery up to +4%. Try to add one more
and you'll bug.

Transformation Rings: Level up, getting yellow. If you add Jewel of Life, you
get bugged.

Guardians: Level up, getting yellow. Increases their HP(it shows small numbers
like 0 or 2, but it means 255 plus that number). Effects don't increase. Only
you'll see the change when wearing it. Don't add Jewel of Life on any, not
even Dino, or you'll bug.

Jewels: Increases their level, but they don't have a higher success or change
their color.

Droppers: This is really hard to explain. Anyway, to start, imagine Box of
Luck is a +0 item. Then the chain goes like this

Box of Kundum +3 and higher: Can't be blessed at all or you'll bug.

Regular Orbs and Scrolls: Level up, needing more requirements, but have
no effect (they get yellow).

Summoning Orbs: Similar to the Box of Luck chain:

You can't use a Soul, or you'll bug. This is the only way of getting the
Soldier orb.

Bless Fragment: It's dissapearing of most servers, but the only time I tried
it, it became a Rena.

Rena: Levels up, as useless as the original.


Also, Unicorn Set, Thunder Set, Dragon Sword, Dragon Staff, and Giant Crossbow
won't change color until they are +7 or higher.

16.What's next?

Like I've said before, Mu has different versions. That doesn't mean they can
be skinned, or replaced with the new ones. By now, the Korean Mu is around the
version 99....something. Before that, it was like most Privates are now, and
Global should be: Phoenix, Soul and Divine as the best armors, Atlans, Tarkan,
Icarus, Blood Castle and Devil Square enabled, etc. This is all I know about
the next versions:

Webzen released a video to public to watch the Dark Lord in action. This are
the only things the video shows:

Dark Lord walking on Da(e)vias castle. Wears dark clothes and is white-haired.
Equips a +13+12 armor(name is on Korean). Equips a Mace(don't know which).
Equips this birdo. Equips his cloak

Skill:
Force:
The Dark Lord swings his arm and a wave hits enemies on a line. Seems you can
use it without weapon.

Fire Burst:
Chains on fire are summoned from below the enemies. Seems to hit more than 1
enemy at once.

Electric Spark:
The Dark Lord charges for a second, and shoots a long purple energy beam on
a straight line. Seems that if you are in party, the beam takes something from
the other members(mana and/or stamina maybe) and then shoots it. Has about 3
seconds of recovery(you can't use it on that time).

Dark Spirit:
The Dark Lord commands his birdo to attack the enemy. The birdo goes near the
foe and the strikes.

Dark Horse:
The Dark Lord's horse neighs and steps on the floor, as it breaks and pops out
hitting enemies around it. Has about 10 seconds of recovery.

Summon:
The Dark Lord in charge of the party can teleport all of it's members next to
him, by charging about 3 seconds a extremely cool-looking spell. About 15
seconds of recovery.

As you may see, the Dark Lord is a very complete character. He is useful at
parties, but can handle by himself too.

Stuff still unknown about Dark Lord:

When it'll be released

Can Summon teleport you to Blood Castle or Devil Square?

Does the Dark Lord have a 1st(or 2nd?) Class Cloak?

Name of Armors and Weapons

I assume he starts in Lorencia, but not sure

Any other benefits or Cons.

It's said that some Private servers bought Dark Lord to Webzen. This, of
course, is a server no one knows, probably has less experience than Global,
and most of the time, doesn't exist. If it does, then I hope it's ownwer
likes it.


And even MORE!

I've heard than on Version 1.0, some things will happen, but since not even
Korea has it, I think it means a higher 99 version. Anyway, they are some
new skills:

Blade Knight:

Warcry: All enemies around attack the Blade Knight.

Grey Wolf Summon: Summons a Grey Wolf(monster from a new map of this version).

Wind Attack: From what I've heard, similar to Twisting Slash, but can only
be used while riding a Dino, and of course, it's stronger.

Soul Master:
Hell Burst: Spell that has to be charged for 4 seconds. It's damage is equal

On the Dark Lord movie, a Soul Master casts something like Icycles. No idea.

Muse Elf:

Mirror Image: Creates a fake party member to attack enemies for 6 seconds.

Formation of Arrow: Multiple shot skill, that shoots 5 arrows with the same
damage as Penetration skill.

Magic Gladiator:

Darkness Destruction: The user loses 100 hp. All monsters on his/her screen
lose 8% of their HP.

Evil Soul: Increases own Attack and Defense. Buffs himself.


I've also heard new events will be held. This events are the Five Crystals
event and something in a new map named Kalima. Only know the names, nothing
else.


17.Private Severs explained:
Brief story of Privates: One happy day, someone was extremely bored, so s/he
hacked into Webzen's database, stealing not only the players database but
also the Server's files. This kept happening until Webzen increased security
a little. Anyway, we know there is no way to stop hackers. But most people
were happy with the files they had, so they started Private servers.

By now, Private servers are legal, but charging for playing on them is not. So
pay attention where you are playing.

Private servers are much better than the ones offered by Webzen, as you don't
have to entangle to your chair until you level up. By having Blood Castle,
Devil Square, Hearts, Medals, and Sacks, the server is already much better
than Global, as even being the biggest newb, you may get a +7 item from Hearts
of Love usually.


There are many differences between one server and another. Most of the time,
this is how a server's description would look like:

Max Level & Reset:

Experience: Means how bigger is the experience compared to Global's. If the
number has a X before or after it, it means Global's experience times that
number. If it has a %, it may mean you have to divide that number by 100 to
get the real experience, tough sometimes you don't. A good way to check this
is by killing a spider when you are level 1. Spiders give 8 experience on
Global at this level, so, if the server has 1000 experience, you should get
8000 experience.

Drop Rate: How often a monster will drop an item, and not Zen or nothing. It's
indicated by a %, usually 20-35.


Bless Bug: On or Off.

Shops: What is sold on the server, for example, Jewels, Wings, etc.

Maps: If it has Icarus 2, Exile, Stadium or other maps open.

Site: Server's website

Version: What version it uses. Usually 97, or 97D. Some servers like to include
the new weapons and items. You have to download a patch that usually is
located on the Server's site.

Max Level & Reset: At which levels you can perform this.

Some servers have very new features, but try not to get scammed. Being able to
create +15+28 items DOES exist, but selling Excellent items on Shops doesn't.
