position and finish one lap of the course.
Car: Mazda Roadster V Special FR Time: 1 min. 29 sec.
A License
A-1 Advanced Cornering 1
Accelerate from starting zone and pass through the finish gate. Note that the
straightaway is longer, translating to a higher entry speed to the turn.
Car: Toyota Supra FR Time: 34 sec.
A-2 Advanced Cornering 2
Accelerate from starting zone and power through the right hand turn. Finish
through the gate.
Car: Toyota Supra RZ FR Time: 26 sec.
A-3 Advanced Cornering 3
Accelerate through the long straightaway and turn in to the tight right-hander.
Notice that braking for the turn will be difficult because of the slight left-
hand bend right before the turn.
Car: Mazda RX-7 FR Time: 44 sec.
A-4 Advanced Complex Cornering 1
Try to keep a fast average speed through the series of turns.
Car: Nissan Skyline GT-R 4WD Time: 39 sec.
A-5 Advanced Complex Cornering 2
After the fast left/right turns is a tight left hand turn. Try to keep the exit
speed of the last turn as high as possible.
Car: Honda Prelude FF Time: 32 sec.
A-6 Advanced Complex Cornering 3
After accelerating, try to maintain a smooth pace through the series of turns.
Braking for the first turn will be especially difficult because the machine will
tend to lose balance.
Car: Toyota MR2 MR Time: 27sec.
A-7 Special Technique
You will need to use the side brake (emergency brake) to quickly turn to finish
5 laps of this 100 meter oval course. The point is to coordinate throttle,
steering, and the side brake to turn as small and as fast as possible with out
spinning out.
Car: Subaru Impreza 4WD Time: 33 sec.
A-8 A License Exam
Accelerate from the starting zone. After the straightaway waits a tight right
turn, followed by another long straightaway and yet another tight right-hander.

Parts Line Up
Muffler
Muffler & Air Cleaner
Sports: Great for stock engines. Increase torque and bhp.
Semi Racing: Further increases torque and bhp. Good for tuned engines and
powerful turbo systems.
Racing: Intake & exhaust system for peak power only. Need to tune
engine thoroughly and may need to adjust gear ratio to maintain
revs in power band.
Brake
Sports Brake Kit
By changing stock brake hoses, pads, and oil to metal hoses, metal/carbon pads,
and upgraded oil, this set up increases the braking power of any machine. All
parts are great for both sprint and endurance races.
Brake Balance Controller
By changing the anti-lock braking systems found on stock cars, this system
will
allow changing the brake bias between forward and back. Too much in the front
will cause the car to under steer, and too much in the back will cause the car
to spin out under hard breaking.
Engine
ROM Tuning
Change ignition timing, air/fuel mixture, and rev limits to produce extra
hp.
Port Job
Increase hp by increasing the bore of the in and ex ports of the cylinder.
Engine Balance
By balancing the weight of the pistons, crankshaft, rods and other engine
components, friction and vibration is reduced, creating a smoother engine which
again produces more hp.
NA (Natural Aspiration) Tuning
Stage 1: Increase hp by raising engine compression through gasket and
piston ring tuning. Valve timing is also done. This set up increases hp
without lowering low-end torque
Stage 2: High compression pistons, head and valve job, cams & stronger
valve springs, and further port job raises hp even further. As a side effect,
slight torque loss will occur.
Stage 3: All of stage 1 & 2 plus weight reduction of engine components,
better pistons, rods, valves, and springs make the engine capable of higher
revs. High lift cams and further increase in compression prepare the engine for
high hp output. Note that all of the engine's power will be concentrated in the
upper rpms, leaving little torque.
Bore & Stroke Up
Raises the displacement of the engine. Increases both hp and torque. Not
available for most engines. (It seems that it is only available for the Nissan
GTR)
Mission
Gears
Sports: Crossed mission. This helps the engine stay in higher
rpms, but as a result, top speed is lowered.
Semi Racing: 5 speed super cross mission. Makes the car accelerate even
faster,
but with an even slower top speed. May actually reduce performance on cars with
a lot of torque.
Racing Fully customizable transmission. Adjust both gear ratio
Support: and final gears. Tune this for mega top speeds at the
test course.
Clutch
Single: Avoids clutch slippage and power loss by providing a
more direct linkage between engine and transmission.
Twin: Twin clutch plates that increases the directness of power
through the transmission. Good for mid-tuned cars.
Triple: Triple clutch plates necessary for high-tuned cars. A
must for high output turbo engines.
Flywheel (converter)
Sport: Light weight flywheel that raises engine response.
Semi Racing: Further increase engine response. As a side effect,
engines
with low torque will tend to stall, resulting in slower
acceleration
at lower rpms.
Racing: Great throttle response. However, engines with low torque
will
actually loose speed, especially when accelerating uphill.
Propeller Shaft
Light weight carbon propeller shaft for increased
acceleration.
Turbo
Intercooler
Sports: Cools the air that enters the engine that was heated
through the
turbo system. Needed for engines with stock or slightly modified
turbo systems.
Racing: Necessary to cool super heated air created by advanced turbo
systems. A must for turbo engines with extreme hp output.
Turbo Kits
Stage 1: Small turbine kit which raises hp without sacrificing throttle
response.
Stage 2: All-round turbo kit which raises hp of both low and high rpms.
Stage 3: Mid to high rpms are affected greatly with this turbine kit. Ideal
for 0-400 meter acceleration.
Stage 4: Extreme turbine designed to maximize high-end output. Ideal
for
courses with high speed turns and long straight-aways. Extremely
slow throttle response in low to mid rpms.
Suspension
Suspension
Sports: For street and light racing uses. 10 adjustable settings of
the
shock absorbers as well as wheel camber settings.
Semi Racing: Adjustable gas shocks with upgraded spring rate. 10
adjustable
shock settings, camber settings, and ride height.
Racing: Fully adjustable suspension system. 20 settings for the gas
shocks; adjustable spring rate, camber, and ride height.
Stabilizer
The purpose of the stabilizers is to reduce roll (left-right movement)
with out
sacrificing pitch (forward-back). The roll rate of a car can be reduced by
tightening the shocks and springs of the suspension but this also affects the
pitch rate, which makes the car extremely hard to control during hard braking.
If the stabilizers are set up right, turning stability will be raised without
lowering controllability. Therefore, harder settings is not necessarily better.
Available in Soft, Medium, and Hard settings for both front and back
suspensions.
Tires
Front Rear Tires are available in the 4 types listed on the
left.
Hard / Hard Choose the combination that will allow you to
Hard / Soft control the car the way you want: over steer,
Soft / Hard neutral steer, and under steer. Tires come in
Semi
Soft / Soft Racing (good for endurance races) and Racing
(good for sprint races).
Others
Weight Reduction
Weight reduction improves acceleration, handling, braking, and cornering of a
car. However, extreme weight reduction combined to a high powered engine can be
harder to control. Weight reduction is offered in three stages, reducing more
weight progressively (Stage 1 must be completed before Stage 2 and so on).
Racing Modify
Racing Modify prepares a car for racing by reducing weight, adding adjustable
ground effects for downforce, and in some cases adding performance parts such as
suspension and exhaust components. Racing modify can only be conducted to cars
that have gone through all stages of weight reduction.
